I don't know what's more "stacked" with options; those two S-Klass, or the Russian models standing next to them...:-)

Well Dr. Dieter says ultra luxury S class (Maybach replacement) is on its way:)
In a statement from Daimler’s CEO Dieter Zetsche, the ultraluxury S-Class will offer even more advanced technology and interior improvements to top the normal 2014 S-Class vehicles that will hit the market in September. This continious to fuel speculation about the revival of the Pullman brand for the ultra-high end S-Class.

The new super luxurious variant of the new Mercedes S-Class is scheduled to arrive sometime in 2015.

I am looking forward to seeing more photographs of the EU-relevant SWB version. I know...it's probably just me...but I could never warm to LWB versions of luxury sedans. They appear to me as being automotive versions of Dachshunds. "SWB" strikes me as being a "drivers'" car...and not a "riders'" car.

just some data from my dealer....from 7 orders signed until last week 2 anthracite + 4 magnetite + 1 cavensite.

2 x V8 (the 2 anthracite), 2 x 400H and 3 x 350BT....All beige interiors except one Black (for a magnetite car).

Just curious to see so many whites and silvers in reviews....:D

Ironically, two of those cars start off as 5 series' without any make up. Guys, the 5 series is the bargain of the century!

I really hope Mercedes NEVER shares the S-Class platform with anything else. Would be the biggest turnoff...It is the fact that they design it from the ground up to be an S-Class, not heavily modify an E-class that appeals most...

Compared to the 7er it's good value for your money. I agree

When I drove a mere E350 this past Sat, I asked the salesman what the order bank looked like for the S-Class...they have 167 paid deposits for the S550 and a few for the S63 AMG. This car is going to sell like gangbusters. Segment is about to be crushed.

I was told just one dealership in Dubai had pre orders for over 600 vehicles.

Benz is Getting Busy: Outlining the Next Year of S-class Debuts

Based on what our sources in Stuttgart are telling us, Mercedes-Benz wants its new S-class to be all things to all (relatively affluent) people. We’ve already driven the new S550 and the latest S63 has been revealed ahead of its arrival on showroom floors early next year, but the three-pointed star has a handful of fuel-conscious and fire-breathing S-classes in store for this coming auto-show season.

If you’re in the crowd concerned with consumption, we encourage you to recall four years ago, when Mercedes showed off its Vision S500 plug-in hybrid concept. Making use of a 3.5-liter V-6 and a 60-hp electric motor, the Vision S500 was good for 18 miles of electric range and a 0–60 time of 5.4 seconds. Mercedes has confirmed that this model will head to production, and we’re told to expect it at the Frankfurt auto show in September before going on sale in early 2015. Final powertrain details have yet to be confirmed, but we’d expect the production-spec S500 to stay relatively close to the show car’s specifications.

For those who like their full-size luxury sedans to knock their lederhosen off, the next few months will prove to be entertaining. Our sources have told us to expect the all-conquering S65 AMG to bow at the Los Angeles auto show in November. The current car’s 6.0-liter twin-turbo V-12 is tuned to produce 621 horsepower capable of hauling the 5000-pound sedan to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. We’d expect a slight bump in output, a curb weight some 200 pounds less than its predecessor, and a sub-four-second 0-to-60 time. Six weeks later in Detroit, look for the standard V-12–powered S600 to make its debut.
