Nothing will ever look as modern or futuristic as the concept vehicle it's based on, unfortunately.
That is incorrect. Both the W222 and the W223 have grown in size compared to their predecessors.Thing is the S-class hasnât grown in size for 3 generations, hence im curious.

Next S-class should be 5.3 meters in SWB form & maybe 5.5 meters in LWB form atleastThese cars are getting too damn big. Next S-Class will be 6 meters long at this point.
So you want this upcoming E-class EQ to end up being as big as the S-class instead? So that there is no difference between the two? im pretty sure if the C EQ is almost 4.9m & the W214 E-class is 4.96m, the E-class EQ is gonna be 5.1mâŠ.of which thatâs the S-classâs SizeAccording to who?
5.3 meters at max is totally fine. Something more than 5.5 is just too damn big. That would make the Maybach version literally 6 meters long.So you want this upcoming E-class EQ to end up being as big as the S-class instead? Tell me if i donât have a point.

It isn't; it's a competitor to Bentley. The Maybach Version should be 5.7 meters. It is a Rolls-Royce Ghost competitor afterall.

This is also a fairly good strategy.Given that Mercedes is currently looking for cost savings, perhaps they'll look fondly at the 5.39m of the 7 Series, which offers a single intermediate option and monumental savings across the board by avoiding two versions.
So the Flying Spur doesnât compete with the Ghost anymore? Thatâs new to meIt isn't; it's a competitor to Bentley.
Exactly what i was saying. It doesnât make sense for the S-class to stay roughly the same size anymore, it needs to grow bigger because the E-class caught up, Even LWB E-class is 5.09 meters longA nearly circa 5100mm long and 1940mm wide E-Class EQ (quite possible) will see all the more S-Class customers migrating to the E-Class. Here in Europe in any case.
There's a $100,000 difference, so no, Bentley positioned itself between Mercedes and Rolls-Royce.So the Flying Spur doesnât compete with the Ghost anymore? Thatâs new to me![]()

Rolls Royce in general has no direct competitor todaySo what you are saying is that the Ghost doesnât have a competitor?

Do the G70, Rolls Ghost & Flying Spur have problems manoeuvring in Europe?Actually, such an S-Class would make little sense at all here in Europe. An ostentatious presentation of huge dimensions, excess and glitz, which the future W/V224 S-Class may very well be, is very rarely in isolated cases on the shortlist of more mature affluent potential customers. Upper executive/lower luxury segment sedans will be more than suitable for the very most shopping in this segment.
