S-Class (W222/C217/A217) [Official] Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupé Facelift (C217) 2017-

The Mercedes-Benz W222 is the sixth generation of the Mercedes Benz S-Class. Body styles: W222 (standard), V222 (long), X222 (limousine, Mercedes-Maybach), VV222 (pullman), C127 (coupé), A217 (convertible). Predecessor: S-Class (W221). Successor: S-Class (W223). Production: 2013–2020.
It's a very subtle update which I am very happy about as the S - coupe and cabriolet are stunning cars that didn't need any changing. The new AMG panamericana grill looks good in my opinion but it will take some taking getting used to as it's a new styling theme for AMG and Mercedes sports models

The panamericana grill looks better when the grill is inverted (wider at the bottom than the top) IMO, like in the gt-r/gt-c rather than the s-coupe/glc

Best looking version in my opinion is the S560, fresh, clean, elegant!:wthumb:

S63 looks like a bad render from a while ago, uninspired, too much bling-bling, give me the old S63.

The basic version is a bit of lazy attitude from MB. While the bumper of previous AMG line is nice, it lacks freshness and crispness.

Worst thing is that you can’t get a rear-drive S560, wtf they are thinking :banghead:

S63 AMG is a tad gaudy I have to say. Whatever happened to the understated class and elegance that was once the sole preserve of Mercedes Benz? Just too flashy in my opinion. Sorry.

Clever. The photo shoot was done on the top level car park of the Frankfurt Messe. The home of the IAA.

Then call me too flashy.

My S63 build sheet:
Designo Mystic Blue
20-inch AMG forged twin 5-spoke, silver

designo Exclusive Saddle Brown/Black Nappa leather
Trim: designo Black Piano Lacquer "Flowing Lines" wood

Headlamps with Swarovski crystal accents
Carbon ceramics
Driver's assistance pkg

Have you guys seen the Panamericana grill in person? It's much more subtle than photos suggest.

Is this replacing the 7 series Sako?

LMAO. Go fast decals on an S class.
So freaking sad.

Grille - ugly
wheels - ugly
bumpers - very, very ugly.
hood shutline - worst

Only thing I like are the new rear light graphics.

Mine is sitting in Hannover waiting to be shipped home with potential motor damage....

I was right... there was something more wrong with it than multiple faulty spark plugs.

Yes, looks that way. But does a S Klasse need to look agressive? Call me old fashioned, but in my book a S Klasse (sedan/coupe/cabrio) looks elegant, sleek and a tad reserved.

I don't know what is the right answer...The S class is luxury model and S63 is a full AMG, not like E43 or C43. BMW has M sport version of 7er, Audi S version of A8 instead of RS. So is S63 a luxury S class with a big AMG engine or is it a full AMG? If it is a full AMG, does it feel like an AMG in terms of interior, exterior, handling, driving, perfomance etc?

Welcome to the new Kardashian way of life.

Yes. And that "Yellow Night Edition" model embodies my personal perception of the phrase "the cost of purchase does NOT guaranty CLASS". Pretentiously juvenile.

And yet, M-B market strategists are certainly no fools and I assume that they are convinced that the above mentioned or similar specification will find eager takers. Whether the character of elegance is diminished or not will be a consideration inferior to that of monetary revenue.
