GLC [Official] Mercedes-Benz GLC (X253)

The Mercedes-Benz GLC is a compact luxury crossover SUV introduced in 2015 for the 2016 model year that replaced the GLK-Class. According to Mercedes-Benz, it is the SUV equivalent to the C-Class.
Hmmm. Not sure if part of a package here in the US, but don't think so. Haven't seen it anywhere.
Seems like you are correct, I must have mistaken it for the C-class. I just assumed that both cars will get the same things with the same optional packages. But apparently the clock and metal trim around the 2nd control panel is not available on the GLC at all.

Very excited for the 43 and for the coupe. GLC sales are great and it truly is a great product. The ride and drive are wonderful, with nice features to match. My only complaint is the bland internals on the standard head lamps.

The GLC sales in Australia plummeted 43% last month...

...Because MB has run out of stock and simply can't keep up with demand.
It is crazy how there are 2964 people ordering the GLC so far this year, over a thousand more than people ordering the C class range, at 1902.

The GLC is without a doubt stealing C-class sales, along with the revamped F30.

MB needs to act and update the C-class engine range and make ordering options a bit more flexible. It's just too limited.

The only thing I dislike about the GLC is the side step up bar which runs along the car.

The design of this with its circular pattern always reflects against the car, regardless of the colour. And looks like a urban vinyl from a distance.

Every GLC I've seen in person has this, and to me it looks badly designed.

See what I mean?

What the hell is wrong with you bunch? Bunch of bloody aspirational convicts!!
Gotta keep those kays moving ;). Sales of Range Rover/Land Rover has exploded as well. In fact there are more people buying luxury vehicle and SUV than any other "mainstream" cars.

I'm hoping they bring out a GLC 'Sport' edition to Australia. Something that has a sportier sounding exhaust would be nice

From a design perspective - and I know I'm not alone on this - I think the GLC is a beauty. Yes, it has a safe silhouette but with its characterful lines, curves and creases, I think it really stands out. My favorite angle has to be the dead-on rear view; those hips and horizontal taillights have a [probably not-so-coincidental] slight resemblance to the rear silhouette of a Macan... Which is obviously not a bad thing. Now if only Mercedes didn't cheat when it came to their exhaust tips... Then we'd be looking at next-to-perfection.

Looking forward to the new AMGs and other iterations!

khabah
Me too,the dead-on rear view is also my most favorite part of the GLC.

I wonder if Australia will get the GLC300. It looks a better power match compared to the GLC250

I took the GLC 43 for a test drive today, have to say I am more than impressed, it isn't as quick as it sounds but it is actually quite exciting to drive.

What engine do you have in your C and how does it compare dynamically?

Only have the 250 petrol engine in my C. Dynamically I am actually quite surprised by how similar it felt to my car, steering feels just as tight and sharp, the turn in is just as responsive, body stays very flat during cornering. The ride never really settles, even on comfort mode. It seems to be the case for all recent Mercedes with sports suspension setup.

The twin turbo V6 is two to three levels above the engine in my car. It has good response, no lag or hesitation even from partial throttle application, and it revs freely. Half throttle on this car feels like full throttle on my car. Previously I was skeptical about this "43 AMG" range, however I am now more convinced than before that this will fill the gap nicely between the normal cars and the full "63" AMG models.
