G-Class [Official] Mercedes-Benz G-Class (W464)

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, colloquially known as the G-Wagon or G-Wagen (as an abbreviation of Geländewagen), is a four-wheel drive luxury SUV manufactured by Magna Steyr (formerly Steyr-Daimler-Puch) in Graz, Styria, Austria, and sold by Mercedes-Benz. Originally developed as a military off-roader, later more luxurious models were added to the line. In certain markets, it was sold under the Puch name as Puch G until 2000.

My dealer told me the main complaint is the to stiff suspension, der R231 was way softer.
I agree that it’s overpriced, the non AMG version is missing in the lineup.
The new SL is trying to get its hands on the 911 market. The problem is most 911 buyers don't buy convertibles and they don't buy the GT3 or the Turbo. Mercedes, who continues to misunderstand the market, is trying to capture a micro segment of the 911 market. That is one who is fiercely loyal, btw. Then, they totally failed and skipped offering a nice performance 6 cylinder and intro the 43?? WTF?

Mercedes needs to get in on some of this. A 2-door Cabriolet from the factory would be an instant hit. So the 4X4X2 didn't get a facelifted?
