EQS [Official] Mercedes-Benz EQS

The Mercedes-Benz EQS (V297) is a battery electric full-size luxury liftback car produced by Mercedes-Benz Group and part of the Mercedes-Benz EQ family. It was released in September 2021 in Germany and the fourth quarter of 2021 in the United States.
EQS is a good EV but too expensive when new. My neighbor has one and really likes it but compared to my Taycan it drives like a boat.
I think this is the only issue with this car.

Ok , it looks odd. But beauty is subjective. Many find the 7 cool , and it sells like old milk.

But that price....

A quick model update to boost sales has happened before for both BMW and Mercedes. Remember the E65 7-series, the W140 S-class as well as the second gen BMW 3-series compact due to criticisms for their looks and not booming sales. The latest i7/7-series will most likely get a quick update as sales have not been that stellar either and many people have not found the huge grill and split lights appealing.

In what was announced by Automotivenews.com they talk about end of 2025/or 2026 for the 7 series LCI which is even further than normal for an LCI; we will see.

What I found very interesting is that they already showed the LCI it to the dealers, so contrary to what I thought, they start working on the LCI's just a year after launching the new model, (I don't know if it is the usual practice) or thanks to new tools such as 3D printing, they now play faster and with almost zero costs with that.

Obviously the development tests on the street with the mules and all that are still missing.

So does a W223 S class compared to a Porsche 911. Hardly an appropriate comparison, André.

I drove the EQS few times and going over bumps its not much smoother than my Taycan only more quiet. Both have air suspension but Taycan has PDCC and in corners it stays flat where the EQS leans and feels more heavy.

I think this is the only issue with this car.

If bought used its a really good EV, I like the space, range and comfort. If I'll need more range I will buy one in black with AMG design, looks pretty good in my eyes, but I drove an A8 recently and was really impressed by that.

Why would anyone buy the EQS or EQE over a Lucid Air? Except for liking an old brand.
Well , customer service would be a first...

Poor UI would be second. Usually , EV drivers are some sort of tech semi-geeks. Lucid's UI feels like an iPhone 3G.

Also insurance could be a thing. I bet it's pretty expensive to have insurance for Lucid in Europe

So , is it or is it not a Facelift?

I'm confused
I would guess the face has been lifted as Mercedes has tried to beautify the face/grill.
