Good honest review. The car's design is very bland in white. I don't like the rear design at all, with the flat rear bumper and weird amoeba taillights, it just doesn't look like a Mercedes.
It’s just another dollop of Blob-o-Benz, a dish best served by Mercedes EQ.The design is acceptable and suits the shape better than the saloon.
It's an embarrassment. A knee jerk reaction to the EV market. Mercedes though per history almost never get the first generation of something right. There are exceptions, but still. How can they look at the SL or even GLE and then this thing and think they're the same brand? It’s just another dollop of Blob-o-Benz, a dish best served by Mercedes EQ.
I think there’s a considerable element of arrogance in BMW and Mercedes approach to design in their respective portfolios. Resting on the laurels of their brand cachet - that’s the only explanation for cars like this and the even more hideously rat-faced iX.It's an embarrassment. A knee jerk reaction to the EV market. I dunno if that's it, but could be. I dunno. I just see a lot of ugly and/or bland/uninspired designs from both of them. I think BMW is being arrogant about it, but I think Mercedes is genuinely shell shocked by the industry changes and they're having to deal with the fact that they no longer set the tone or the pace like they did in the 80's and 90's.I think there’s a considerable element of arrogance in BMW and Mercedes approach to design in their respective portfolios. My opinion is that two-tone only works on some super/hypercars......and this is not that.
Unreal, will be surprised if they sell 20 at that price, especially now the UK government are scaling back the tax breaks!Orders open in UK for electric, £129,170 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV

Technically Mini has a floating roof, I understand the two tone to a different color that is born under the belt lineI also think our MINI looks nice two tone.
It looks so much better in metallic blue than the dull as dishwater white colour that was in another video posted recently.
Sigh............

For once I agree with every word. The central open pore wood moldings with the stars provide an interesting contrast to the colorful and techno super gloss of the
screen it's attached to, I think it looks great on that particular spec.
The interior is still, in my opinion, the main asset of the EQ line due to the wow factor, I don't know if I would get along with the Hyper or if it stuns people of a certain age who are its objective target, but on the outside there is not much to see It's just a big truck and the sedan is better not to mention.
*If the steering wheel had that wood instead of gloss black, how would it look?
IMO Mercedes nailed the interior. It’s futuristic but not clinical and is as sensual and inviting as you would expect the cabin of a flagship Merc to be. Although I’m not the biggest fan of the hyper screen, all the panels are flush with the design and the passenger screen is not distracting. The interior is still, in my opinion, the main asset of the EQ line due to the wow factor, I don't know if I would get along with the Hyper or if it stuns people of a certain age who are its objective target, but on the outside there is not much to see It's just a big truck and the sedan is better not to mention.
