The Mercedes-Benz EQS (V297) is a battery electric full-size luxury liftback car produced by Mercedes-Benz Group and part of the Mercedes-Benz EQ family. It was released in September 2021 in Germany and the fourth quarter of 2021 in the United States.

Mercedes is quite conservative about the range estimates when it comes to the EPA cycle. I fully expect this to hit its targets, especially with an excellent drag coefficient of .26. The egg shape does have a purpose.
It certainly is not the most adventurous looking BEV SUV on the market, the styling is not as good looking as the GLE or even the GLS, a bit too plain vanilla. Together with the iX the German duo, BMW and Mercedes seem to have lost their way with their BEV design for SUV's. I think Audi is the only premium brand at the moment that has some decent looking BEV SUV's.
