The E63 looks bad-ass!! It's huge front air-intakes looks like it can suck a BMW M5 into its stomach.

Other than the odd looking station wagon with sports grill in the picture, all other variants of the E class look very very tasty. And the E63 is looking beautiful and agressive. Mercedes always do "extra ordianary" quite effectively. The S class and the beautiful 600 (w100) are the proof. It is the "ordinary " where they are not so good at. That is why AMG has become so sucessful a brand and SMART is not imo. Their slogan "The Best or Nothing" has some real organizational philosophy than marketing gimmick. Although I don't feel good what Mercedes is doing to SMART brand and what they can acheive with it in terms of its potential, I still love the company for surprising us the Merc fans with amazing products.

according to what is written in the article above, the AWD will be part of the performance package. Otherwise it is not possible to account for the difference in the acceleration.
