Not that bad,but I hope this kind of front bumper is One-off,keep away from new generation S klasse AMG cars plz.

Lol...I was just comparing the bumper to see if that might happen.

The S AMG bumper seems to be different.

Just wanted to voice a contrary opinion on the looks PanterroR, no harm intended.

And now we move on.

This S is just a AMG Sport not a full on AMG model. I think the full AMG S63 or whatever they call it, will have something similar to the E63 AMG.

I like it... a lot in fact. I think it is a vast improvement over the pre fl one, though I am still lost why they would do such an about turn in design language from crisp lines to soft curves in a facelift. I am guessing the sales must have been really hurting for them to throw the kitchen sink at it like this, but it is one heckuva good looking kitchen sink.

Anyway, with 0-60 of 3.6 secs, And 577HP and 590lbft of torque and AWD to put it all down, I think RS6's days on top will be very very few. I doubt poor M5 stands a chance at least in the straight line dick measuring contest. Your move BMW...

I bet it feels completley different to drive with AWD. I can't wait to try the first AMG AWD sedan, currently it's only available when you get an ML, GL OR G.

I'm in two mind as to whether it will be a success or not, on one side I see it appealing to M5 and RS6 owners and pulling them over to the brand but on the other hand I think its such a departure from normal Mercedes styling that it could alienate its current E63 owners.

The inclusion of AWD shall give Audi sleepless nights with the RS6 only a short time from release because its one less reason for picking it and no doubt Mercedes will have reprogrammed it to behave and suit a sportier application. I can only see such moves pushing BMW to follow and probably Audi ditch FWD and go RWD.

I am having a hard time seeing what the case will be for spending $20k extra for the CLS 63 over this (though I do not know what the redesign has in store for that model). The E has become such a beast, and it is lighter to boot, not to mention a proper sedan. With the "sporty" grille, CLS's reason for existence got less rational.

Oh so they meant the 4.6 engine is being discontinued but the E500 stays? I am a little confused but that lovely pic above proves the E500 remains..

I guess only time will tell, but I hope not.
Secend that, furthermore if each of upcoming AMG models has their own style of bumper design would be great IMO..the "/ \" style covered through the last generation lineup looked good but a bit dated now.

That E63 looks better then the normal E. But seriously... That bumper looks horrible!

LOL. I knew that front reminded me of something. Yeah the previous AMG look got diluted to hell by M-B and now other brands have adopted it so much, but damn does it look sharper and hotter than this "square block with holes" look of the new AMG bumpers.

Only thing I can understand from M-B/AMG's side of things is that they probably had to change the AMG look at this point, due to said dilution. However, I really wish they could have designed something up to snuff, because I have a feeling this might be the new AMG look going forward (big bendy overly round holes) which means we'll be seeing it everywhere for a long period of time.
