As far as I know the Infiniti Q50 is a rival for the C-class and not the E-class.

The car he posted is a Q70. Poor thing is so uncompetitive. At least the Q50 has been selling well and it will be receiving some major powertrain updates for 2016.

You right, sorry I wasn't aware that the Q70 was facelifted and given a similar look to the Q50. It certainly looks much better after the FL.

The A6 and the 5 series doesn't look dated at all compare to the W213.

Probably not. Thay are however starting to show age and don't look as new.

Design is a matter of taste. Such daring experiments like the E60 showcase that sometimes it is better to embark upon a more aggressive or even shocking attitude in order to raise attention. Undeniably, the E60 BMW 5er sold like hot cakes, because it was different. The W 211 E-Class on the other hand, which was developed in the Schrempp era, was a silent contender. Nothing to be impressed of.

It is also a matter of opinion. That particular 5-Series looked like goat shite in shallow water. It looked like the designer suffered from schizophrenia.

How was there a low take up when it was the ONLY option pre facelift and then not even an option post facelift. There can't be a low take up if the option doesn't even exist. MB Australia jammed the w212 FL sports grill down our throats.

I cannot agree with you more. honestly how much more does it cost to bring in both versions to the Australian market, if places like HK can get both, why can't a country like Australia?

Not so much consumer rights . I correct myself, it should be consumer choices. The demographics of the buyers do play a role .

Intelligent Drive next Level is the next step to the autonomous driving. The system is able to keep the car at a correct distance behind slower vehicles ahead automatically and can also follow them in their lane at a speeds from 0 of up to 200 km/h. At speeds up to 130 km/h, the system is not dependent on clearly visible lane markings as it can also intervene if the lines on the road are unclear or there are no lines on the road at all.

If the Comand Online is ordered, the optional Speed Limit Pilot subfunction can autonomously adjust the vehcicle’s speed according to informations received from the camera detected speed limits.

Remote Parking Pilot can park the car or take out the car from the parking space with the driver staying outside the car and using a smartphone application. It helps in the situations in which parking space is very tight.

Car-to-X Communication allows the mobile phone-supported exchange of information with other vehicles further ahead on the road, for example, can effectively allow the driver to see around corners or through obstacles. This means that the driver receives an earlier warning than previously in the event of imminent danger, such as vehicle in an accident.

Taxi drivers will find these features very useful and for R&D purposes Mercedes would benefit from wide usage of them. However, Taxi companies rarely equip their cars with "nice-to-have" options.

Particularly the interiors. F10 interior was the best of the three. New E-class however is in another galaxy now..

I got the feeling the competition is going to play hard with the interiors as well.

I don´t like what BMW has donde with the F10 LCI, but the design was so good it has aged so well. And the A6 LCI is superb. It gave the car an entire new vibe.

I can´t stand how anyone would consider turds like the Lexus, Infinity, or the Jaguar with these three germans.

The XF is not a turd next to the Japanese cars. It carries a great deal of competence and mostly beautiful design.

The headlamp reminds me on the pre-facelift SL's headlamp (R231) in a refined style. I like it.
