I think this goes back to the time when there are two versions of the "400" engine, one is the 3.0L V6 twin turbo, and the other is the 3.5 V6 twin turbo, they both have the same power and torque figure, but the peak torque arrives earlier on the 3.5L engine.

Most of the time I go from D to N at a stop light or during heavy traffic.

Car doesn't roll back...
I agree with @Serpens , just use the hold feature which is a very useful feature, just press on the brake pedal until you see hold sign on at trafic lights, then remove your feet, now the car will no longer roll forward or backward.

To deactivate it just start accelerating normally, the hold will be released.

Note: pushing the brake again after hold will also deactivate it.

After almost 12 months, we have finally reached over 1000 km.

The weather was simply perfect today and I took the car for a long drive in the early afternoon, just to give it a proper run, and to get out of the house, during the difficult times we are all in.

The E 450 is a dream to drive in most situations. It is extremely refined, quiet, smooth, with effortless reserve of power whenever you need. There is a weightiness to the steering that is missing on the W205, and I do feel more connected and more confident to go fast around the corners.

Once the car has settled from the initial degree of body lean, you can feel the tires digging in and the grip from the 4WD system pulling the car around the corner. It won't dance around the corners, because you are always aware of the size and the weight of the car, but if you push it, it will be happy to follow you along. The best way I can summaries the experience is that it is noticeably more comfortable than the W211, with about 80% of the agility of the W205.

Fuel consumption isn't great, I am still averaging 14L/100km. I hope it will improve once the car is run in a bit more.

I will continue the update once I have more time next week.

Is there a typo? 1,000km in a year is way too low.

It isn't a typo my friend. It is just that I am the only person who drives, and the driving is split between the C250, E350, and E450.

Generally I drive the E350 to meet with clients and the daily trips. The C250 I drive on the weekends and the E450 I drive on the rare occasion when I have to drive my parents or when the road conditions are nice.

Acceleration test of the E300de hybrid. This car is pretty quick and probably close to the E350d in performance.

0-100km/h in 5.7sec
0-160km/h in 13.2sec
0-200km/h in 21.7sec

Test consumption of E300de, this car is mega light on fuel and can achieve 44km with battery power and just 3.1ltr/100km.

After almost 12 months, we have fina...

14L/100km!?!?! Jesus, is that in Sports mode a lot? My E63 has gone from 13-14L/100km (20mpg imperial to 10l/100km 28mpg imperial, took 10000 miles to get there though) Oddly, it's less than my CLS63 was able to manage when driven carefully and the CLS was a 5.5 litre too...and the new E has coast and cylinder shut off...

This is the monument to perfect proportions

Simply perfect! My favorite part as to the design of the W213..and literally they always have nailed the proportions of E-Klasse's...this spec-the multiple spoke wheels and the silver exterior color combination is to die for too.
