Production: March 2009 – January 2016 (sedan), December 2009 – May 2016 (station wagon).
This should really get the sales going when they see that window sticker since a lot of people can't get past that.

The EPA has now confirmed MBUSA's numbers. Also included some models for E wagon lovers to compare to. :)

By the time the E debuts the design language will have evolved sufficiently to differentiate it quite easily from the S and C. Exactly how Kashef and shown in the photos above. They are clearly and undoubtedly related, yet the E is clearly a more organic evolution of the same theme.

That photo just reminds me, damn the W211 was a looker during its time.

^damn thing still looks good..

I hate the f#ck faces that always emerge when new MBs are shown..OMG that will date fast..

They said it with the W220, W211,W221 and probably everything in between.. and they stand the test of time very well..

Wanna see something dated:?

That was the ugliest 7-Series ever.

^ haha..yeah that's why its selling like hot cakes..

W212 is the SHIT.. a true MB.. Solid design, solid quality.. and great comfort.. just what the E needs to be.

Way better than the problematic W211 and ugly W210.. there haven't been an E class this good since the W124.

it has to be better to beat the 5 series in sales and i am pretty sure MB is putting in alot effort to make it the best or nothing!

not sure if this is new or not BUT here's Auto motorsport's early rendering of the W213

The rear looks like a previous render of the CLS from wayy back

They'll need to do much better than that by 2016 if the 5-series renders are anything to go by.

I second that.

W212 facelift, looks poshy and shiny and fresh yes but that's it, it's a mess, and i just hate those artificial quad DRL, they look like nothing but random shapes coming at you, what the **** is that honestly.
Having said that i'm sure the next E will very well resemble the new S and C and it will definitely look "nice", utterly boring but and predictable for sure but it will definitely look better and more sorted than the current model.

The rear on that render looks beautiful as i believe thats how it may actually look since they are softening and rounding the overall shapes of their vehicles, i believe the W212 may be the last angular model besides the G wagon, anyways the rear deck lid resembles the S class which could be because its based of a previous render but anyways i like it, the front though is a whole-nother homogenized story
