I see that quite differently. The car looks pretty chubby to me. So much plain sheetmetal.
Pretty safe to say I don't particularly like it. Like any Benz coupe except the CL/S coupe.

Fair point, even I'm skeptical about the plain sidewalls, however I was referring to the overall profile of the car, as in upper body..

It appears that the new E Coupe is intent on earning its stripes.

In this shot the Coupe is looking extremely elegant. Especially by the colour.
Does anybody knows how this colour is called?

It looks like the GLE coupé to me....and that's perhaps the problem with this E coupe, the massive, almost suv looks. Still better than the C which is too much of a fastback, but miles behind the S which is stunning. On the positive side, the coupés have more design difference and own personality than the sedans/berlines.

Each vehicle Mercedes debuts I'm become less of a Mercedes follower. The bodywork is less than interesting, features too much black plastic, and is too bloated. The interiors are too showy and lack the teutonic, understated elegance I find so appealing in a vehicle.

My exact same gripe. The overall exterior design brought by Wagoner is nice (although too repetitive) but the interiors are completely over the top, too much bling and lacking symmetry and coherence. Same applies for headlight design, the most laboured in the industry perhaps....I think they will age horridly

That gold champagne coloured E-class coupe looks stunning. What an elegant and sporty looking car.

A real masterpiece again, it looks on par with the 4 series ang A5 exterior wise but the interior of the E is obviously the best.
