^ It never made it into production on the CLA and the above is a pre production model. It was not replaced with another color, and was quite expensive (EU2439.50). Folks might want to consider jupiter red instead, with no additional cost?

I'd have to agree. The Jupiter Red does look quite handsome in person.

New software for the Drive Kit Plus for the iPhone 4/4S became available which integrates the audio buttons.

New software for the Drive Kit Plus was released, which the Mercedes-Benz dealer can copy into the head unit, so one can now switch between Audio 20 / COMAND and the Drive Kit Plus - and so use all the features of the audio system. With the update, the Radio, Disc, Navi, Tel, Silent, SYS buttons, as well as Ending and Accepting Calls are supported. The update is now available for purchase with part number B6 782 3800 for 28 euros.

The new model year becomes available on Monday. Noted some suspension changes.

Model year 2015 CLA with different suspension options

Mercedes-Benz changed the suspension variants to a new logic: The Urban Line now offers the comfort suspension with lowering (677), the optional comfort suspension (485) is available while the sports suspension (486) is no longer selectable. For the AMG line the sports suspension is available as well as the optional comfort suspension with lowering (677). The BlueEFFICIENCY Edition gets a comfort suspension with lowering, a sports suspension can not be selected. For the sports models (P84) and the CLA 45 AMG 4MATIC, the comfort suspension with lowering is no longer offered.

Judging by the sales figures, they don't have to do anything. But they are. And that's what's good to see. Mercedes being responsive to feedback.

I agree its good to see, although I'll note the A3 sedan hasn't hit the streets just yet here in the U.S. so impact on CLA sales remains to be seen. I'll be hoping MB continues to be this responsive and the CLA sees continuous updates. I think the mid-life refresh in a few years will have particular opportunity to upgrade material quality.

I still think this is awkward looking. Every time i see it on the road it just seems so disproportioned.

The problem with the CLA in the US, is that they are impossible to come by. None are on dealer lots and if they are, they are already spoken for. Only way to get one is if you already ordered, or someone cancels their order. I think on the street with the sport package and lighting package it looks really good.

you can find a CLA 45 on a dealer lot, but those are pretty damn expensive.

It's a nice car, and drives nicely. Apart from rear space, and headroom, good value.


I just wish MB would include free traffic info and mBrace and apps into their cars. The nod here goes to BMW. They've incorporated BMW Assist(Free for 10 years) BMW Apps(Free for 4 years, I think) and free traffic info(Free for life). When you're purchasing a vehicle like this or any other Mercedes-Benz, I shouldn't have to pay anymore for my safety and convenience when the car I'm going to be driving is suppose to be all around comfortable. Very small annoyance in the grand scheme of things.
