Yea and no, what about race seats vs the inflatable adjustable heated cooled massage seats? Couldn't have driving assistance package with race seats either. I'd rather have a bit of both. Comfortable and racey, but accept neither are best of both worlds.
Nah, not for me. I like it hardcore sporty or hardcore comfortable, not something of both or in between. That's always a compromise.

No doubt you do, but I wasn't talking about the degree of adjustability. By the way, interesting that you notice such a difference between your Porsche and the 8er, assuming latter had adaptive suspension.

Yeah. I doubt most people would consider the Taycan and GC sports cars, but they're sporty enough for me.

Yes the 8 series had adaptive suspension, but the spread between the different settings were not sufficient IMO. In comfort the ride was not particularly comfortable and in sport, while the ride didn't diminish greatly, the body control didn't improve drastically either, nor the steering.

The Taycan is by no means a plush cruiser, probably a degree or half more comfortable than the 8, but the amount of change from one setting to another is more noticeable and more appreciated. In sports + it really hunkers down, the body control is markedly improved and the steering becomes very sharp and direct.

So I think if tuned properly air suspension can provide benefits beyond standard steel set ups with adaptive dampers.

I've never driven an E63 like you, so I can't comment on how they got it wrong there.

I'd love to one day drive an S with 18 inch wheels, but I doubt you'd ever come across one here. ?

Ha ha, here neither. On the German market W223 S class come standard with 18 inch (for the S 350d, S400d, S450). FWIW, the smallest wheels I've had on my S's was 18 inch (on my W221 pre FL) followed by 19 inch wheels on the following 3.

I had problems with wheels and rims at first. Every enthusiast knows the importance of Mercedes rims. But for some reason I didn't like the ones I had right after I bought them. So I started looking for other models of mercedes rims to find something I like. Now I have the S Class Maybach 5 Hole Wheels 19 Zoll Z223 and soon I will try how to drive them. Hopefully there will be no problems.

He seemed to be very impressed with the new C300 in the way it drove especially the ride and refinement and he liked the interior. He said its the Mercedes of compact cars lol. It drives like a Mercedes with comfort placed above sportiness.

The interior quality isn't 100% perfect but I could live with it because of the sense of occasion that the cabin design offers.

No V8 engine joy and no trunk room either? This hybrid system better be just brilliant to drive otherwise there's too many compromises going on here.

wut? It has two big digital screens but no satnav because it is not standard but a $500 option.......in 2022! What's the point of replacing buttons with a finger print screen that has limited use?

No usb ports or 12volt socket for back seat passanger sucks too.

They have a strange combination of specs and features on US models. It seems like a poverty spec without any rear USB or 12V socket points, but they have a standard electric opening boot.

I wouldnt say the new C43 is a poverty spec car and it looks absolutely sensational in this colour and spec.

Wow. Truly.

As a fan of G20, I would take absolutely no issue with anyone who feels this is the better looking car. Exterior-wise, this C43 is just unplayable.
Yup. We pretty much have the best looking 3er and C-Class in a long while. I think I’d go with the 3er but still, this C-Class looks so good.

Another C300 review, from Down Under. He also mentioned about lack of USB charging ports in the back seat, so maybe its a problem due to supply issues at Mercedes??
