C-Class (W205) [Official] Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W205)

The Mercedes-Benz W205 is the fourth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Body styles: W205 (sedan), S205 (wagon/estate), C205 (coupé), A205 (cabriolet), and V205 (long-wheelbase). Production: 2014–2021, 2016–2023 (coupé/cabriolet). Model years: 2015–2021, 2017–2023 (coupé/cabriolet). Predecessor: C-Class W204. Successor: C-Class W206.
The W205 just seems like a "true Mercedes." The W201 and W202 truly encapsulated the M-B ethos whereas the W203 and W204 felt somehow lesser than what it ought to have been.

To me the w204 was a huge return to form. This was attested to in the massive sales gains of the vehicle and extremely positive press around the globe. The quality and reliability and the comfort were class best. Exactly what an MB should be. The only thing lacking was interior presentation and plastic finishing quality on the pre-fl vehicle.

Exactly, that's the only thing that was holding back the W204, IMO. While the FL helped the interior, I still felt it was lacking. Exterior-wise, it looked like an M-B. In fact, I had preferred the pre-FL's exterior over the FL version.

To me a "true" M-B ought to excels in all areas, but not necessarily in sport dynamics. An M-B, is first and foremost, a luxury car.

The C 300 BlueTEC HYBRID will be available soon. :)

You're right, I had the pre LCI C63 in mind. Fanastic, menacing looks. The LCI looks like a cat when the old one was a panther.

The interior is a no-brainer (y)

Nah, old one looked like a Thor Hammer ;-) facelifted front is much less agressive, which is still great on regular model, but doesn't add up on AMG

Wow, never heard that before. Maybe i'm biased cause i own one but FL interior is superb in my view.

As @klier was kind to point out, I was talking about the exterior only when it comes to my preference of the pre-Fl vs. FL version. The front looked more upmarket to me pre-revision. The interior in the FL version is, without a doubt, but there was too much black plastic. It's not a bad interior, but not something I'd equate with an M-B.

The W205's interior has that trademark M-B presence and detail. That waterfall center console, especially in that gorgeous open-pore dark ash trim, plus those Burmester speakers makes it one my favorite interiors in a car starting under US$50000. If they could have better integrated that screen, IMO, M-B might have attained perfection, and I say that with very little hyperbole.

I like that...it was simple yet aggressive. Lots of presence, IMO.

I'm getting more and more used to the exterior, which is pretty nice looking, but I was a bit disappointed Mercedes did as Audi and BMW and just did a copy paste of the S class.
The interior, though, is just magnificient, a huge step up from the previous C class (especially the pre facelift model).
All in all, it does look very promising.

Wheels look delicious. Disappointed it has no flared rear fenders. Also hope it gets a different front bumper treatment than E63.

I dunno Sunny I think AMG is going to slap that same look from the E63 on this car too. You can almost see it.
