Hi Kukobana,
Any idea when will the C250 Bluetec make debut in the U.S ? Perhaps March 2015?

Appears to be spot-on. However, I am less enthused about this model now that I know AWD will not be available. I like that they are looking to keep the model pure, but to negate it one of the newer and more speed-enhancing features of the marque appears somewhat arbitrary. It could be that an AWD C AMG would be so quick as to make mince meat of other much more expensive models.

Hi Kukobana,

Thanx for posting this info. Are these American models? I am thinking about waiting for the new coupe, but need a diesel (just like my current one). Your post suggest that no diesels will make it to the new coupe... and us Europeans are more dieselminded....

Thanx,
Marc.

Hi dtd and MarcCoupe ,
These are versions of European models.
In the U.S. available models are the C300 4MATIC, C400 4MATIC, C300 and C63AMG.
The information comes from the diagnostic program.

So no RWD C400? I saw this indicated elsewhere also, a shame.

Hmmm, so no Diesel Coupe..... okay, maybe I should switch to the Saloon...

Thanks for the info!

When do the actual reviews start I wonder. Should be any day now.

on mercedes-benz.nl they write about the c 220 coupe so i think there will come more diesel engine like in the "old" c class.
i dont understand why the saloon is more expensive.

That's the old/current model (2012)... The new one isn't mentioned there...

Thanks Kukobana. It looks like MB is not in a hurry to offer C250 CDI in the U.S soon, since their diesel engine cars sale are not in big volume. I guess, they probably offer the C250 CDI by late 2015. I wish they offer it soon but it looks like I have to settle down with the 4-cyl gas turbo engine . Hopefully the gas mileage will be attractive.

I'n disappointed they didn't go with a DCT. The wetclutch pack set-up they use now is good, but it doesn't give you the gears you want, and it lags. That's what really hurt the W204 C63. I hope they fix or tune it to be quicker with the W205.

The car has already gone into production, and will be released in the Fall(Stateside). I'm thinking the reviews will start pouring in a little closer to launch, maybe sometime mid-late summer.
