Looks like 9G tronic is not coming any time soon

C 63 AMG with 476 hp - S model with 510 hp - C 400 4MATIC with 333 hp
the C 180 BlueEFFICIENCY with 156 hp (6-speed manual transmission) is celebrating its market launch in September 2014, the C 250 with 7G TRONIC PLUS (211 PS ) then starts in June 2014. The variant already shown to the world premiere in Detroit C 400 4MATIC with 333 hp (245kW, 7G-TRONIC PLUS transmission) is, however, only in December 2014 for the launch.

4MATIC for the C 63 AMG S model with 510 hp from the factory
Likewise December 2014 start of the C 63 AMG with 476 hp to the dealer, but also as a (probably 4MATIC variant) C63 AMG S-model - but this has over 510 PS (375kW) (AMG variants obtained in October 2014, the purchase order release).

9G tronic for a long time will not be available. With this gearbox are serious technical problems.

Is there some technical problem now? I think the 9G-tronic is introduced with the E class in Germany as of now right? Perhaps, M will have it fixed and the U.S introduction is 2016 .

Let's see. For US production we were expecting starting in September 2014:
The U.S. market launches with two C-Class models: C300 4MATIC with a 2.0L turbocharged direct-injection in-line four-cylinder engine with preliminary power figures of 235 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque and a C400 4MATIC with a 3.0L turbocharged direct-injection V6 at 329 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. Source: MBUSA

Since there's no C 300 RWD or C 300 4MATIC in sight in 2014 at present, suspect it might be substituted with the C 250 RWD instead, with 208 hp @ 5,500 rpm and net torque of 258 lb-ft @ 1,250-4,000 rpm, and around 38 MPG on the highway, and starting in September, while the C 400 4MATIC is delayed to March 2015 or so. All propelled by the 7G-TRONIC Plus. Caution, this is only a projection based on the latest rumors. :)

^ MB is starting carefully, and is only increasing the production slowly. So far new owners seem to be happy when comparing the E 350 saloon and T-model to the previous versions. :)

Thanks Wolf. So the C250 RWD engine is just exact the same as the CLA. I thought the hp should be a bit more ( 211hp ) since it is RWD. Anyway, it will be out by first quarter of 2015 right? The reason I am hoping for the C300 is the torque and also the 9G- tronic. If MB is not ready yet for the U.S market, then they should not rush to debut then recall later.

Thanks Wolf, after reading kukobana's post I thought the gearbox has serious problem. I think slow introduction is the right way.

@dtd

The engine is also used in the European E 250 with the same specs as in the CLA 250, also consuming about the same.

@Amat46

Some very early reports indicated nervous shifting and trouble to find the proper gear. It might still feel a little different than a MB 3, 4 or 5 speed automatic gearbox, though. :)

Even I was happy when I watched the video in the E Class thread. :D

Its a good thing they start slowly. Quality must never suffer.

Yes, sales start in D is rumored to be in October, and they should then arrive at the dealers in December.
Two versions are rumored, and presently already listed in the EPC thusly:

205.086 C 63 AMG w/ 7G-MCT
205.087 C 63 AMG PP w/ 7G-MCT

Power is presently rumored to be 476 hp and 510 hp but the EPC doesn't have any engine info yet. :)

I'd bet that the C63 will be shown in August and displayed at the Paris auto show in Sept. I hope they have revised the gearbox, arguably the only weak link the current C63.

I just want to make sure I understand correctly - the rumor is that for the USA, the C300 AWD and C400 AWD would be delayed and the sole model at launch in September 2014 would be a C250 RWD?
