We saw the entire rear end of the S-Class back on the videos of the development of the CLS. It would not be the first time. There is no other 4 door MB in the near future. And it has the classy look of the E-Class.

No its not next gen E. I suppose its an early darft of W205.

Sedans won't get horizontal lights in the near future, that's for sure.

Makes sense because they don't want to cut the lit-cycle of the previous Coupe too short since it didn't come out till the facelift.

Maybe someone can scale Robert Lesnik next to the car to figure out what size it is and thus give us a better idea of what it is. LOL

I think it's the E. It evolves the horizontal rear light design of the current E.

If history is any indicator, the New E should actually not have horizontal lights, but should be more of the style of the C and S. Every generation has switched from triangle to horizontal.

Does anybody know if this is the standard size of the instrument binnacle screen, or is it only this big when you opt for navigation or the extended cluster, like in the F30?

Not sure about that. The C-Class follows it`s father the S-Class with it`s taillights and some other features.

The E usually walks it`s own path with style. This time the new E-Class might pick up some features from the S-Coupe like the more horizontal
taillights and that chrome strip running along top of them over the license plate and taillights. The clay model clearly shows that.

One of the clear indicators that this might be the E-Class is how the taillights cut into the boot lid. (No other MB sedan does that)
This tradition started with the W210 E-Class. It was picked up again in the W212 and might continue with the W213.

Yes, this is the normal screensize for the instrument cluster, and it does not change if you choose COMAND. Only the actual COMAND screen is bigger...

Thank you very much Megaoctane! I don't mind the smaller COMAND screen now that I've seen it..

But what's the resolution of the smaller screen? Is it high enough so it looks "retina" smooth or is it borderline adequate? I'm not sure we can tell from the publicity photos which appear to use simulated images on the screens. Wolfgang's post from page 63 has a actual image displayed on the big screen and it looks very good. I think it's still an open question what the smaller, standard screen looks like. And because it's positioned on the dash without anything to shield it from sunlight, off-axis viewing angle, glare protection and brightness are even more important.

Good question. But I'm gauging that it will be similar to the F30 setup. The 6.5" standard screen has lower graphics than the 8.8" of the pro navigation. The 8.8" of course looks better, but the 6.5" is good enough for me. These screens in general are too small for resolution to really bother me right now lol

Found this:
Audio 20 CD: 7" TFT display with 800 x 480 pixels - This gives us a PPI of 133,28
COMAND has 960 x 540 pixels, 8,4" screen - this gives us a PPI of 131,13

Both screens IMO look good, I wouldn't mind the smaller one, the graphics and quality of picture looks okay.

Nice find! Sorry my post was confusing. I was referring to the F30 screens for reference :P
