I had COMAND in all my previous Mercs, but it was worth it when audio 50 didn't have a screen showing you the map, just the direction arrows.
Now that you can get the Garmin maps with audio 20 CD for 1/4 of the price, it was a easy decision for me.
I never watch movies in the car when cruising in 20km/h and children in the backseat prefer iPads rather than to watch a movie on a screen mounted to the headrest.
Money saved can be spent on other gadgets for the car:)

Not sure about that. The C-Class follows it`s father the S-Class with it`s taillights and some other features.

The E usually walks it`s own path with style. This time the new E-Class might pick up some features from the S-Coupe like the more horizontal
taillights and that chrome strip running along top of them over the license plate and taillights. The clay model clearly shows that.

One of the clear indicators that this might be the E-Class is how the taillights cut into the boot lid. (No other MB sedan does that)
This tradition started with the W210 E-Class. It was picked up again in the W212 and might continue with the W213.

Sorry, you're still wrong. Look at these pics and tell me if you can recognize a pattern. The W213 will have one-piece taillights, this is as sure as death and taxes ;)

Top one is not bad, that second one pretty damn ugly. The final design is best.

960x540 is good enough for a Benz. We should be happy!

960x540 on an 8.4" is pretty much the same as BMW. The BMW is a little more high res but I doubt we'll see much of that. Retina style is completely silly on such a size screen when the distance to your eyes is pretty much fixed (in a car) and much further away than your phone usually is from your eyes

It doesn't necessarily mean that it will happen this time.

That is one good looking wagon. Mercedes should just say the hell with it, just show the CLS FL, ML F, C Wagon and AMG GT all at one even and get it over with lol. Now if the MBUSA would just give the U.S. that wagon with the same engines as the sedan and a diesel they would be onto something. BMW does it. Mercedes should do it.

Wow it looks fantastic, I like the rear end of the car, the design of the back lights and windows matches really well with the front of the car. The side view looks really nice. This is IMO the best looking wagon Merc have ever brought out.

Beautiful car, but the C class is more beautiful in sedan version in my opinion...

The plot thickens? :)

The Mercedes C-Class range is set to expand beyond the traditional variants
The new Mercedes C-Class range will expand into new areas, according to Mercedes R & D boss Thomas Weber.

Speaking to Auto Express, Weber said that we should expect a coupe and convertible model as before, plus some body styles. "We will continue with variants that you know," said Weber, "plus some more expansion."

"With four plants producing C-Class we have a clear message that we will grow. It is now possible to be much faster and with less money for new models."

Asked whether the possibility of another four door coupe was possible based on the C-Class, Weber said: "Yes, there is room between the CLA and the CLS - we are intensively looking at remaining niches that will provide us with profitability and growth."

Weber also confirmed that the C-Class-based GLK SUV will also be coming to the UK for the first time in right-hand drive form - the previous model was only available in left-hand drive. The C-Class will also be sold exclusively in China in long wheelbase form, with the platform also available for other future models.

Meanwhile, Mercedes successful F1 team will be playing a more active role in road car development. The SLS full electric was built at the F1 factory in Brixworth and Weber said that the team will definitely play a big role in the future. "We have some big ideas with AMG, some engineering studies, maybe a high-end series production of road cars," he said.
