GT [Official] Mercedes-AMG GT

The Mercedes-AMG GT is a series of 2-door sports cars produced by Mercedes-AMG. While not directly replacing the SLS AMG (competing in a different segment), it is the second sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG.
Sachsenring-Comparison of all four variants (GT, GT S, GT C, GT R) coming up this Friday in AB Sportscars:)

^Can't wait! The biggest difference will be GT R vs rest, smallest difference will be GT vs GT S on lap times IMHO. Would love to know how much difference optional rear-wheel steering makes when it's added to GT S vs GT S with no RWS.

Does anyone know how is the ride quality on non-adaptive suspension of AMG GT compared to the optional AMG Ride Control setup?

Some reviews say that the base model is more comfortable and actually makes the car ride better.

I haven’t driven the base model suspension but the Ride Control even in the regular setting is quite stiff. If you go to sport or sport +, it becomes unusable in daily driving unless you’re a racer. Passengers don’t appreciate anything but leaving it in the regular setup. However, if you drive on a track or a mountain road, sport+ is absolutely amazing that gives the GT great control and immediate reactions.

I mean the new AMG steering wheel, digital cluster, widescreen nav...

Then I guess it will not get a second facelift.

I also thought the GT would get the updates you mentioned at the facelift. But the digital cluster will have to be a bespoke one as the instrument binnacle/cluster is smaller than the C class. Making one for a low volume model such as the GT might not be too economical. The new windscreen display also seems too wide for the recess that it sits in.

Yes, the pre-facelift C Class and the GT share a similar instrument binnacle. But I am sure the facelifted C Class has a wider instrument binnacle.

No way does the facelift have a wider binacle. Would be way to expensive to change for a facelift. Sprinter has the same gauges cluster as well. Would be VERY surprised if GT didn’t get digital cluster.

I know I know, what I mean is the new binnacle looks like it utilises all the space available in the dashboard cavity. The two silver barrel trimmings on the pre-facelift one is heavily canted inward from both sides and is narrower and gives a more 'tunneled' appearance. The two silver barrel trimmings on the facelifted screen are not as heavily canted and the screen appears broader.
