I would struggle to argue that an LFA is a credible alternative to a 458 in EVERY way. Perhaps an LFA is to a 458 what the NSX was to the 355.

ironically enough one thing from the LFA is compareable to the 458 speciale, the noise channeling into the cockpit

i know i am a little late to this conversation

You know you are a very ignorant and biased. I know it well from your other posts you made on other board regarding the LFA. I was not even responding to your comment. It was more of a response to Guibo's post, which was directly above mine. I cannot expect you to say one sane, rational and objective thing.

you are being a bit hypocritical sometimes often going to illogical reasons to put the LFA ahead of the compared car:claiming that autocar JAPAN was a european magazine and instantly bahing anyone critisizing the gearbox (they all have the same problem at lower speeds) and claiming weight is better than it really is (lower vs highest)

your objective argumenting skills are good but you tend to fall over into subjective argumenting some time so just take a deep breath and shut off that fanboy nerve (as soon as the fanboy nerve activate you will argue illogically)

and you can't call me out on this one because i've defended the LFA twice on youtube (one GT-R fanboy and one hater)

^Very prompt, only been 2 years and 6 months... :D

thanks, while i agree with him when he's being objective he tends to stretch it a bit far and don't concider opinions (like the LFA hater i've argued with on GTO vs LFA, trust me you'll find him quickly)

this is relevant for this thread, but hasn't been posted yet:

All you have to do is open your eyes and look!

IL Exclusive: Lexus LF-A Prototypes Now Capable of 220MPH

f*ckin rumours, in fact i think the hype came after people saw the price, and stopped expecting preformance based off the HP/weight number (thereby breaking the logic of what preformance to expect)

He knows every inch of the Ring and he also knows the cars before the Nürburgring-Time attack, because of the previous testings (acceleration, braking, slalom, Hockenheim, road testing, etc).
There's only one thing that he can't control: the weather.

but who is better at the ring with limited time he or sabina schmitz?

Saying LFA cannot compete with the SLS is the most ridiculous thing considering it has won every comparison against the SLS AMG

not the CAR magazine one: http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Drives/Search-Results/First-drives/Lexus-LF-A-2010-vs-Mercedes-SLS-2010-twin-test/?content-block=2

but they do say it's about personal prefrence:
"Both cars are honest and straightforward, classy and competent, intriguing in the way they present themselves and perform, pleasantly free of gimmicks and tweaks, dynamically focused and deeply rewarding. The final choice could be down to personal preferences and subjective impressions. Like the more modern Lexus exterior and interior, or the more practical packaging of the Mercedes."

It's been discussed here that German car mags favor their own home-grown products, that the British give theirs a helping hand that others might not, that the Americans publish articles of Corvettes destroying the competition when it suits them. Could there not be some patriotism at play with the Italian ones as well?

as a rule of thumb: all countries favour cars from their countries (autocar is noticeable)

watched panser (bonnet/hood) on MAX where fredric aasboe was driving the LFA against henning solberg in a SL65 AMG black series on vaalerbanen

the laptimes:
LFA: 1:44,4
SL65 BS: 1:50,9

more or less a curb-stomp despite having only 560hp, 480nm and 1600kg vs 670hp, 1000nm and 1800kg

EVO seems to be the magazine which has given the LFA the highest praise of any magazine, willing to compare it to a car with 188hp more than it (more than the the aventador which CAR magazine compared it with, just 148hp more)

as i said in this, no magazine has given the LFA more praise and this just proves my point:

They also rate the Megan very highly too.
