Lexus has no plans for an LFA successor
At least for the time being
Rumors about a Lexus LFA successor have been circulating ever since the model went out of production but a new report is indicating the company doesn't have any plans for a new supercar.
Speaking to Car Advice, RC F chief engineer Yukihiko Yaguchi said "[The] LFA was certainly a special sports car for us to build as well, but we don’t have any plans right now [for a replacement]." He went on to say "... it will take a little bit of time to come up with, say, another one, but it would certainly mean a lot to build a super exotic sports car."
While that's disappointing news, Lexus believes they can elevate their performance image through motorsports and new models such as the RC F.

Clarkson claims the Lexus LFA was the best car he ever drove on Top Gear.
Editor of www.PistonHeads.com, Dan Trent was surprised.
"An unexpected choice for Clarkson, especially given the drubbing he gave the last Lexus to appear on Top Gear," he said.
"But the LFA is something special, a one-off supercar built with obsessive attention to detail that took a decade to go from concept to reality. They very rarely come up for sale and the last one we had on www.PistonHeads.com was priced at £440,000. Lexus never made anything like it before and never will again. For that it's a proper hero car."
