New 2015 Ford Mustang by Roush Revealed

236a18534ac4328576e8bd084af461ee.webp

The Roush idea of what a modded Ford Mustang should be like has just been revealed. It debuts later in the year, but we now know what to expect – it features bespoke visual and performance enhancements and just looks gorgeous finished in black (as seen in the gallery below).
like the GT500, especially since those usually follow sometime after the original launch of the car – the modified Mustangs scene doesn’t wait, and beats the manufacturer in creating improved versions of the base car and bringing them to market.

For Roush, the formula to Mustang perfection takes them down the custom bodykit route. The car’s aggression is enhanced thanks to a squarer front fascia treatment, made very visible by the new bumper; the grille is also new, and the nose of the car is apparently slightly longer than on the stock car.

Automobile says that if buyers will opt for the optional hood scoop, this, along with the rest of the new vents will be made functional.

Round the back, everything is very clean and pleasant, featuring a slightly different design to a stock Mustang, with a new rear spoiler, bumper and exhaust. Apparently, Roush says all their visual mods also enhance the car’s aerodynamic performance.

Finishing off the look are Roush wheels, in this case measuring 20 inches and discrete Roush badges; it also says Roush in between the rear lights.

As far as performance goes, many options will be made available. RS kits for V6 models, RS1 kits for the 2.3-liter turbo and RS2 for the 5.0-liter V8; RS3 adds a supercharger to said V8.

2015 Ford Mustang King Cobra Concept

ec645ab265b48ff82b30bd311947ea27.jpg

Ford has just taken the wraps off its latest King Cobra package for the 2015 Mustang and while it is still a concept at this stage, it will inevitably reach the market in the near future as a complete package. Before that happens however, all of its components can be ordered straight through Ford Racing and they don’t only add mechanical upgrades but also visual and aerodynamic modifications.

The three packages making up the 2015 Ford Mustang are the Drag Pack, Handling Pack and Super Pack. The first Drag Pack sees the installation of heavy-duty half shafts, high-performance bushings and a rear sub-frame upgrade. As for the Handling Pack offered by Ford Racing for the 2015 Mustang, it drops the ride height of the car by approximately one inch thanks to the installation of front and rear lowering springs.

Finally there is the Super Pack for the new Mustang. Its name is appropriate considering it sees a 2.3-litre Twin Votices Series supercharger fitted. This blower has also been developed by Ford Racing as well as Roush. All told, it boosts power from the Mustang GT’s 5.0-litre V8 engine to over 600 hp. As a result, Ford recently recorded a 10.97 second quarter mile in the Mustang King Cobra.

Discussing the car, Ford Racing director Jamie Allison said, “We wanted Mustang enthusiasts to be able to open up the Ford Racing parts catalog and get one of everything and see what they could get. We think the King Cobra package is it. But none of this great work would be possible if Team Mustang had not built the best production Mustang yet.”

Ford Sweden have priced the Mustang perfectly. A fully loaded 5.0 liters V8 Mustang cost less money than a Golf R. And 2.3 liters Mustang is even cheaper. Actually the Mustang is a bargain.

Ford highlights the creation of the 2015 Mustang

Ford is celebrating the Mustang's 51st birthday by launching a new series which examines the creation of the 2015 model.

The first clip focuses on the car's exterior design and shows how designers went about reimagining an icon. While they started with a "clean sheet of paper," the design team gave the 2015 Mustang a number of classic styling cues including retro-inspired taillights and a "shark bite" front end. Despite this, the car is thoroughly modern and has an aggressive design that stands on its own.

As a refresher, the 2015 Mustang can be equipped with three different engines including:
  • A 3.7-liter V6 engine with 300 bhp (223 kW) and 280 lb-ft (379 Nm) of torque
  • A 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine with 310 bhp (231 kW) and 320 lb-ft (433 Nm) of torque
  • A 5.0-liter V8 engine with 435 bhp (324 kW) and 400 lb-ft (541 Nm) of torque
