M6 [Official] BMW M6 Gran Coupe

The BMW M6 is a high-performance version of the 6 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand from 1983 to 2019 (with a hiatus from 1990 to 2004). Introduced in the coupe body style, the M6 was also built in convertible and fastback sedan ('Gran Coupe') body styles for later generations. An M6 model was built for each of the first three generations of the 6 Series. Production of the M6 ended in 2019 and it was replaced by the BMW M8 (F91/F92/F93) in 2019. Official website: BMW M
To me it sounds like BMW have difficulties to sell performance cars and I dont think its the car fault. The economics worldwide pretty much sucks these days and you can probably get a good deal whatever performance car you want to buy (of course some exclusive brands might be excluded from this).
You also told me there are good deals for M135i as well. What is your explantion for this?

On a sidenote, I spoke to a MB dealer last month about the new A-class and he almost immediately after we started to talk, he wanted to give me a nice discount on a A250 Sport. Althought A250 is a cheap car from the start, MB have troubles selling them here in Sweden.

Aren't Mercedes overpriced in Sweden generally?

This situation with BMW M-cars is interesting, as it appears M is also struggling to shift vehicles in Australia and will offer hefty ($20-30K) discounts. Conversely AMG is shifting vehicles in record numbers.

I like it... but I have issues buying a luxury car without a sunroof. Honestly, don't care if it's top heavy. It's still a luxury car.

Interior is great.

Depends on models. The new A-class is pretty much on the same level as 1-series. For instance CLS is cheaper than 6-series.

I'm pretty sure AMG offer discounts as well. Pretty much every carmaker does this. In Sweden you can make great deals with E-class and C-class. There are also discounts for buying a CLS. I also notice some dealers offer a great deal with Opel Astra OPC. Then there are discounts on Audi S6/S7.
All carmakers offer discounts, particulary for powerful cars, its not only BMW having issues.

Out here, nobody gives discounts like M-B, based on my experiences of observing and shopping both. I scored one of the best deals one could on my F10, but the deal I made on my W212 was even better, M-B are just so aggressive to incentivize cars here. People were reporting Lease payments on E350's at levels close to what a loaded Accord would lease for, this recent Holiday period. At the same time, comparable BMW's these days are a lot more expensive than comparable M-B's (5 VS E, 6 VS CLS, C VS 3, etc.), but of course you get more from them.

Certainly, high end manufacturers are having no choice but to discount here as well, Mercedes and BMW included. From my assessment of things here though, M is giving bigger discounts than AMG in the Australian market, but I'm certainly not suggesting this is the same globally.

That said, I have noticed where once MB's were unquestionably more expensive than the equivalent BMW, this is now not always the case as they have sharpened their specifications and pricing considerably her in Australia.

And the licking continues, another car I'd like to lick:p Beautiful!

Guys and Girls, what a car...WHAT A CAR!!!:love::cool:

Those wheels. THOSE WHEELS! DRRRROOOOOOLLLL!!!!!!!! I'd take this bad boy over the CLS63 AMG. Design wise, it's just perfection.

Here is my favorite combo. Alpine White exterior over Sakhir Orange interior with Gray Poplar wood trim. Drooling!!

You only forgot to add the ceramic brakes :)

And.....OMG: is it really the case you can have your M6 GC with that crappy tiny a$$ nav screen??? Is this a bad joke????
I guess it depends on what country you're in. Because I am pretty sure you can only have the M6 with the largest screen here in my country. Every 6er has a large screen here afaik...

Total MSRP as Built; $128,495.

Such a gigantic difference. It's like........unfair :D

Very handsome, but the LED headlight option (oddly enough) is a MUST HAVE... without them, it looks pudgy and "playful", especially on the base 6GC models. Good job BMW.

The brakes were dropped as they were whooping $9250. Which, I'm sure won't make an enormous difference than stock.

And the price, yes. I'm stunned how crazy the difference is. Almost $100K extra! That's outrageous. I wonder why?

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
