^I vote for Betty to be made the Grammer Moderator. lol

Spot the mistake. ;)

It's "grammar" not "grammer".

And by no means is my grammar and spelling perfect. Far from it. I just think "could of" instead of "could have" is an ever-increasing mistake which needs to be stamped out NOW! Along with people not knowing the difference between "lose" and "loose".

I don't mean to pick on you but I really hate it when people write this and I feel it's my duty to correct it, otherwise people might start thinking that there's nothing wrong.....

* could HAVE.....not could of.

Don't forget that today auto-correct in smartphone really can play tricks on you, that you don't even notice. You write everything correctly, and then you see after you posted that it changed to word to something totally different. Sometimes you dont even notice that.

auto-correct won't auto-correct "could have" to "could of" because there is no such phrase in English; in which case this would be auto-incorrect, which just wouldn't be correct at all and therefore you wouldn't have a smartphone - you'd have a dumbassphone and as such you ought to drop kick it into the river and get one that actually is smart. Or, alternatively, just pay a little more attention in English class.

You won't believe what words my phone sometimes comes up with :)

OT; but one of my friends was supposed to send a Christmas greeting to ALL his contact list. He was supposed to write God Jul in Swedish. A milisecond before he pushed "send", the autocorrect changed it to God Kuk (means Merry Dick) and it was to late to stop it... :D

Well that was the mistake I was talking about.

I agree wholeheartedly with you mate and I might add my grammar and spelling is sh1t for the most part, if it wasn't for spell checker I'd look like a right dick, heck the only reason why I don't speak any other language is I struggle so much with just one.lol

I'm crying now :D DAMN I ROFL and can't stop! :D:D:D:D

PS: Martin, I love the dumbassphone idea... I just might have one too :D

The M5 already has more power than it can put to the road in most situations, the extra 15hp (2.7%) power will be barely noticeable and is only for bragging rights. I remember an interview with Dr Kay Segler when the F10 M5 was first released. He was asked whether the M5 needed more power or AWD and he said: "It's a question of weight, it's not about additional power or torque... also the tyres are limited". BMW M managers seem to have changed their minds... again.

It's called Marketing. He's going to say what M fans what to hear. Business is Business.

What use is the noise when it's fake?

Congratulations didn't know you were buying one. Joking aside possibly driven back to back you might be able to feel the difference but I serious doubt if you were handed the keys on either with or without the power boost you'd struggle to tell. Frankly its the other things that might be more beneficial.

P.S.
Does anyone know whether these rims are part of the competition package or just optional.

The wheels are part of the Competition Package.

I'd rather see a triple post about the 2014 M5 in this thread than a pedantic grammar discussion.
Got to admit, now that he edited those two vids there, I too enjoy them. Was kinda meaningless with only that overused internet meme.

I wonder how long it'll take for G power to introduce some crazy 800hp+ version of this M5, so far they've only introduced that version with only some minor changes.

I take your point on it being off-topic, and I know this is also off-topic, but I really take exception to the discussion being called "pedantic". There's nothing pedantic about correcting grammar and spelling which is quite simply WRONG. It's this kind of attitude; that is accepting mistakes in grammar and spelling, that means we're in the current sad state of affairs.

I don't know why people are happy to accept mediocrity.

Betty is my new fav member on GCF:D

So much entertainment for free, you just have to love it!

PS
About this sound issue with the M5.
Im not really that bothered if they channel fake sound into the cockpit, as someone stated many others do.
But the others that do often have car that sounds great, Someone said Panny GTS?

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
