iX [Official] BMW iX (i20) [2021-

The BMW iX is a battery-electric mid-size luxury crossover SUV manufactured and marketed by the German automobile manufacturer BMW. It was unveiled in concept form as the Vision iNext at the 2018 LA Auto Show, and then in its production form in November 2020. The iX is BMW's second fully electric vehicle after the i3 in 2013, and the fourth BMW i sub-brand model.
G class can sell as much as factory capacity. Orders have accumulated for 2 years. So it can sell a lot more. @dalab

If it could sell a lot more don’t you think Mercedes would have increased the factories capacity by now? They’ve been selling them since 1979, that’s plenty of time to increase production. If you have proof they could sell a lot more you should let Mercedes know.

In the context of electric cars, the looks aren’t a deal breaker as extremely few EV are genuinely beautiful.

Who said anything about genuinely beautiful? I'm just asking for not ugly. There's plenty of decent looking EVs out there even though the Germans aren't producing them.

If Mercedes wanted to truly increase production they wouldn't have them still be hand built by Magna Steyr. They understand that means essentially capping production speed and want it to stay that way as a way of maintaining demand.

This explains why every G Wagon I’ve seen the paint isn’t that good. You can’t hand paint 40,000 vehicles per year and expect the paint shop to do anything but a rushed job.

iXM60 gets my vote.

I agree with a lot of that review, the frameless windows rattle when you close the door, it’s not a premium sound, my MINI also frameless shuts with a solid thunk, the i4 also frameless also shuts with a solid thunk, home come the vastly more expensive iX can’t???

But it’s almost the only negative. Most of the iX reviews seem to be quite good.

And too much Alcantara can look untidy. The fabric in the iX is an upmarket touch to what would normally be a polyurethane surface.
To conform to its sustainable status. It’s a a bunch of recycled materials which believe it or not includes fish nets. It’s durable but very premium looking. It blends in well with the other sustainable materials used in other trim pieces.

Already with three years under its belt, the iX continues to look more modern than its "opponents" and than the majority in general, objective accomplished, zero boredom

Powerful electric car: can the BMW iX beat the Audi SQ8 e-tron?

E-Tron still looks fresh imo. It has a great design.
