iX [Official] BMW iX (i20) [2021-

The BMW iX is a battery-electric mid-size luxury crossover SUV manufactured and marketed by the German automobile manufacturer BMW. It was unveiled in concept form as the Vision iNext at the 2018 LA Auto Show, and then in its production form in November 2020. The iX is BMW's second fully electric vehicle after the i3 in 2013, and the fourth BMW i sub-brand model.
iX40 is very good car, drove one for a week. Comfortable, quiet, spacious, and base version is pretty quick. I'll get one next year when its around 50k, I think its good value.

Is 40 thousand sales a success today? Even i3 sales were close to this figure years.
I don't know, you tell me.....G-Class 41,174 vehicles in 2021, average 40,000 per year.
In such expensive cars of course it is a success

iX40 $85,000 - iX50 $105,000 - iX60 $140,000
Very low average of $90,000 at 10% margin (also currently low average) is approximately $360,000,000 of net profit per year
I do not know, you tell me....

I bother to answer even though you are not here to learn or know anything.

If it's what they targeted - or more - then yes. If it's less than what they targeted, then no.

I could be wrong as I don't have the official statements in front of me, but BMW announced their expected ramp up of BEV's in their Investor Presentation a while back, and I believe (though stand to be corrected) that they're on target - according to notes I made at the time 2023 requires them to sell about 295,000 BEV's and in H1 they sold 152,000, so I'd suggest on target overall - and if they're on target overall, it's not too much of a stretch to assume the individual models are also selling largely as anticipated.

G class can sell as much as factory capacity. Orders have accumulated for 2 years. So it can sell a lot more. @dalab
That has nothing to do with what was being discussed.
Since you brought it to annotation, please post the source of that information, which sounds totally pulled by the hair in a large production model

For 2023, 45,000 units are to roll off the assembly line in Graz.

For the year 2024, a third shift will be introduced in the G-Class production in Graz.

They then want to produce 55,000 G-Classes annually there.

It is a matter of delays due to shortages, the average sales is more or less what I wrote

Quote from the source: "They continue to struggle with chip shortages and other supply chain issues, which have spared few companies. Building a popular model right now is not easy."

Orders in Germany are still closed. G class has the potential to make 100,000 sales per year. Even in Europe, it is sold more than the GLS. not up for discussion.

Now we know how much they will sell 5 months before the end of the year? It may be, but that will be seen at the end of 2023

They then want to produce 55,000 G-Classes annually there.
And I want to have a turned-up nose but nothing so far

Don't misunderstand, it's a fact that the G Class is a particularly successful case, even if what does that have to do with my original answer about the iX?

Do not fantasize, you write 100,000 and it is not under discussion because you say so?
Today it sells 41,000 so don't be ridiculous
