5 Series (F10) [Official] BMW F10 5 Series

The BMW F10 is the sixth generation of the BMW 5 Series. Body styles: F10 (sedan), F11 (wagon), F07 (fastback), F18 (LWB sedan). Predecessor: 5 Series (E60), Successor: 5 Series (G30). Production: 2010–2017.
Yeah, same about the E-Class. Took a while for them to get common, but once that month kicked in where they did, they're everywhere. In a few years it'll be completely common place to see both of these cars all over the place. Thankfully BMW has an option that could keep someone's F10 somewhat different from the crowd: The M-Pack. I can't stress that factor enough.

I won't be any different if the 7-Series M pack is any indication, they'll be everywhere. Dealers here have them lined up, most with the M-Pack. When they offer it on 5er, they'll be everywhere soon also.

Blasphemy.

Damnit, I should have known, since M-B gave out the AMG Pack for free on all 212's basically, it makes sense that BMW will do it too, as to not lose obvious sales.

I refuse to drive these old-lady cars if said old lady's are driving around with the same cool-aggressive styling as me (AMG Pack/M-Pack), enthusiasts need to feel special too!! :D

Maybe it's just a SoCal thing, but these cars are everywhere, I miss the days when you could really notice an E-Class or 5-Series that stood out from the rest of the ho-hum examples (aside from AMG or true M versions), you play off the prestige and anonymity of the car, yet get that extra "something" to give it a boost and add more prestige.

Blasphemy.

Haha, may be stop driving these 'old lady cars' and make it look different and start driving what real enthusiasts drive. :D

LOL. What can I say, I like big luxurious barges....

Unfortunately old lady's do too..

This is one of the reasons I must motivate myself to go from the plebeian luxury cars, to the real deal mega barges, S-Class or 7-Series. :D

I for the life of me, cannot understand how a 550i is roughly US$50k and yet, AU$180k over in Australia. We still have a severe socio-economic distinction between BMW 5 Series owners and Ford Falcon owners. The cars are popular, but still a rare sighting, especially and luxury barges. X5s and 320i are everywhere.

Yeah, in the U.S it definitely ain't like that, lol.

Especially in SoCal, where the cars are such a sight, they almost lose the true "Luxury Car" distinction while they get lost amongst themselves, which is why I appreciate when they have Options that give that extra visual prestige to liven' 'em up.

One of the Car Rags said it best, "E-Class and 5-Series are like the Honda Accord's of Beverly Hills". Can't say it any better. However, in reality, that line actually extends a little further out of the walls of Beverly Hills.

I drove the new 5-series today. What a great car. With Adjustable suspension, just as good if not better handling than my babybimmer with M-package.

And how much comfort can anybody ask for?
even in sport+ the comfort is very high, at least on the roads I drove.
And the steering is light compare to old bimmers. I dont want it lighter because then the steering feel is going to be very numb. Now its a good compromise.

Afterwards I drove X1, good handling but with very bad brakes, felt like the car would never stop. Im still not a SUV dude.

I havent see a single 5-series on the streets and its weird since I live in Sweden. 5er GT, those I see everyday. Strange :t-hands:

In Espoo and Helsinki they have started to appear in the last two weeks, I see a F10 almost daily now.

I think the first one was delivered in the beginning of this month and according to a dealer since then tens if not hundreds have been delivered to happy owners.

535d M-package spotted

My dealer invited me to Wentworth where BMW are sponsoring the PGA Championship this week.

As well as a large tented village where they are showing their complete range of cars I was promised a private viewing of the new F11 before its launch in September.

I was looking forward to this but expected to see only the SE version of the car so I was really surprised when I was shown the full M sport 535d!

It looks sensational!

Had a chat with a very informative lady who said she was part of the development team. A few highlights:

The car will be called 535d, not 540d as many expected, and will have the same 299hp version of the twin turbo engine as found in the GT.

The M sport range will be available at launch in September. Full details will be made available in early July.

The car I saw was in Carbon Black with 19″ m sport wheels but 18″ will be standard.
It will have sport suspension as standard which lowers the car slightly but this can be deleted if required. The adaptive drive option will not lower the ride height.

The front of the car is really aggressive with a bumper similar to the new 3 series coupe m sport. The rest of the aero kit is quite subtle with extended side sills and a slightly reworked rear bumper with an extra crease in it. The 535d has single exhaust pipes left and right.

Inside, the trim was a silver hexagon pattern which I didn’t really like due to the contrast with the plain alloy strip at the base of the trim which is a feature of all F10/F11’s. However, the rest of the interior was Black/Black Dakota with sport seats and looked great.

The whole car looked very dynamic and very sleek compared to my current E61.

Yes it is true , that we showcased the BMW F11 MSport in the UK @ The PGA. Nearly every E61 was ordered with M Sport Packet in the UK market so we decided to showcase the car for invited guests and current owners.

He has the description right , it is a cross between both the E90 and E92 LCi M Sport Packet with the additional sharper edges replacing the old contours of the previous E60/E61.

The F11 M-Sport will also probably be seen at the Goodwood festival of Speed where the new BMW 5er Touring will make it's UK debut.

Import duty and the luxury car tax are the culprit.

I've only seen one here and it happens to be our neighbors 530da. Was last week in Germany for ten days and only saw one on the whole trip.

Wow - the E60 looks old, especially in direct comparison:

F10 is just perfect…so dynamic and elegant!!

I like them. They remind of the M wheels for the Z4 M pack. BMW always release two sets of M wheels, one being better than the other. I hope we haven't seen the best yet.

I don't really like them either.
BTW, the front bumper minus the fogs does look quite a bit like the M5 muls don't you think?

True, but the E60 sport pack looked exactly like the M5 bumper with fog lights. Maybe the same thing here.:t-hands:
