The 8er arrived at US dealerships yesterday

I see the fuel tank for the 6er/8er is still pretty small. The gas station was my second home when I had 6er GC. I was hoping for a larger tank this generation.

The fuel consumption must be high too. When the tank in my X3 is full the range is 634 miles - nearly double!

Great performing engine the N63 is, but it burns through motor oil and gas like a coal stove when you put it in one of the sport modes. Consumption is marginally better in Eco mode, but it just makes the engine response so lazy (at least in the N63 in the 650i), so it takes away the enjoyment.

A larger tank would been a big plus, but the M850 is a super-heavyweight fighter as is. The tank size appears to be the same size as the F13.

Twin and quad turbo V8s are very thirsty if you like havinf fun. Floor it and the mpg will momentarily drop to single digits.

Couple of moments ago I saw for the first time the new 8 series in person. It was M850i and I have to say it looks absolutley stunning. I didn't have time to take photo, because it just drove away. But anyway it looks better in real life than on photos.
