No four-bangers, but there is the 840d in ye Olde Country, i.e. Europe. For a long-distance continental cruiser, I think that makes sense. Curious to see how the quad-turbo diesel would do in the 8er, though rumors strongly suggest that engine is on its way out.

BMW doesn't make silly diesels. Their I6 diesels are quick and best in the world. An 840d would be the car to get over here, still.

Yupp. The effortless torque of the 3L diesel probably suits the car better than the 3L petrol engine.
