M550i will be simply the most rewarding and fabulous experience - I'm surprised (and happy) they didn't go with a highly tuned straight 6 - I was expecting this. Maybe for the next series..
I would love to own this car - no need for a harsher M5 - give me this beautiful v8 please in the dying years of the internal combustion engine.

Some of you are saying the rearlights are big. To me they don't seem to be much larger than on previous car. On the new 5 they are slightly longer but smaller in width. The way I see it, the lights are similar in size. I think it's a picture issue, in real life the size won't be a problem.

Eventually. But it would not be a bad thing. They can do wonders with a Six Cylinder. So there will be no significant drop in power but increased efficiency.
When the 550e comes that is also a six cylinder as is the 550d.

Oh,take it easy man,it's not your baby it's just a product.If you have eyes you do see those rearlights are pretty much the same,let alone the upper lines are exactly the same.
