4 Series (F32) [Official] BMW 4-Series Coupe

The first generation of the BMW 4 Series consists of the F32 (coupé version), F33 (convertible version) and F36 (five-door liftback version, marketed as 'Gran Coupé') compact executive cars. The 4 Series was created when BMW spun off the 2-door models (coupé and convertible) of the 3 Series into a separate series. Production: July 2013 – September 2020

Even the 3 series M package looks better! The horrors?

I kid, I kid. It's a beautiful car. Over at bimmerpost they are playing with the configurator, it looks fabulous in dark and light colours. These are just crap shots that don't do the great job that BMW have done justice. Looking forward to seeing them on the road.

The king is dead. Long live the King.

M4 is coming for their heads and hearts!!o_O

Oh for God's sake, this is the "4 Series" thread. People are discussing the 4 Series and nothing else. If you want to go into an A5 or C-Coupe thread to say they're plasticy, then go ahead. Why does everything have to turn into a Vs thread?

It's not. It's the 4 Series. That just sums up how alike the two cars are. Ridiculous really.

:O It looks like a copy and paste, honestly.

i mean, it's kind of a mistake to name the 3 coupe the 4, these are so similar cars that should really be badged the same series. Then the 4 series name could have been saved for something different... i mean if the 6er GC is something between the 5 and 7, the 4series could be something that is bigger than the 3 coupe that looks vastly different to the 3series lineup, with a different, better quality interior.

I hated to use this a reason, but it truly does seem like BMW has NO idea how to take press shots anymore. I thought the X5 was much, much worse that it really was. I'll wait for a different set of photos before I make a decision. However, I'm positive the rear end of this thing will look sublime. BMW doesn't have a single poor looking rear imo.

Wow there is A LOT of hard plastic going on over here...
Yes it is. Refer to @aleks_16 post. If you know your car/favourite brand's cockpits and cabins per square inch they have more or less the same amount hard plastics and in the e.g. W204's case even more. Love to take a tape measure and caliper to these stuff. Gotta keep the Germans OEM's in check:)

Sorry Betty but it started by provoking just such behaviour, he made a viable point by comparison and true one at that. If the shoe fits, or what goes around shall come around especially on GCF.

And you know it!;)

Even 3 GT differs more to 3 sedan than 4 series to 3 sedan. I don't like that BMW become same as Audi - all cars looks same. Why would people buy a 4 series, if they can get same car, but more practical for less money (3 sedan) ? E92 looked different to E90 from every angle and I liked that. E90 is very common car, so E92 give more special / premium feeling.

Im really thinking to move to Audi. I enjoyed every Bimmer I had in last 10 years (E60, F01, E92, F10), but F32 dissapointed me a lot. Its just a 3 series without rear doors. And detailes like orange colored part of tail lights looks really cheap and dated - its shame that BMW cant give us LEDs , which they used in E46ci FL 10 years ago.

maybe we just expected too much, i mean 4er is basically just 3er coupe, which actually always looked exactly as just saloon without two doors, except for e92 which looked different

The fact is that these two cars should be very similar, you never complained the E30/E36/E46/E90 having the same interior as their coupe counterparts because, in fact the coupe has always been and still is just a coupe version of the sedan, with some mods of course, but this is what it really should be, so i think it's not ridiculous that F30 ~= F32, it's badging them a difference series number that's ridiculous.

^haha its not my fault another member was confused..i just stated the fun in it.
I saw immediately that it was the 4er interior, im a BMW aficionado.:D

PS
LOL don't you please talk seat control buttons, BMWs suck ass tucked away on the side of the seat, or like the E65 7er..haha when they tried to put them on the armrest and you had to awkwardly change positions.

Compare that to the clear seat like buttons that any fool understands, and in the perfect position..lol.

Pick something better!

Better than horrible visible seat controls over there? That'll be damn difficult.

But I could start about the brothel-like 'ambient lighting' used in the new S class too if you want?
It's just so off topic I'm afraid..

^ Aren't brothels positive experiences?
Unless your on the receiving end..? :D

PS
Don't be mad with me, i didnt call it the 3 series interior..

This is not another BMW vs MB thread guys! This is 4 series coupe thread!

Ok, ok relax :D

You can call it that, because it is. It's a 3 series coupe with a 4 in it's name.

People will have to deal with it and that's all there is to it.

Regarding seat control placement I have always felt it to be the most logical place at the side of the seat..... or maybe it's just what I'm use to. ;)

Yes, agreed.
But if they raised the price of the car by calling it the 4series, and its is really a 3 series under the skin, they could have at least given the customers a slightly more differentiated interior for their bucks, so they felt like it was worth spending the extra cash.
Just my .2
