Keep dreaming. I'm willing to bet @Busty will be able to back me up here- that's metallized plastic. Meaning that laser etched aluminum is a very thin coating on top of plastic.

This new era of BMW is recapturing what the E46,E39,E53 and E38 were me. I’m genuinely happy with the products they are making.

This might be the first 3er to have a better looking interior than the 5er and I have a feeling it will have the quality to match.
