The G20/G21 has been in production since mid-October 2018 with a facelift in July 2022 and is often collectively referred to as the G20. Production: October 2018 - Model years: 2019–2026. I'm dreaming of a white M4, some special edition, with this face...Dreamy. They were bold to broaden the front like that. Look forward to seeing them in person.

No one experienced yet the X2 M35i.

That's funny. Because some friends of mine tweeted the X2 M35i from the courtyard of the Mandarin Oriental where the car was on show. Or was this after you left?

Does anyone know what is the function of the additional lamp (highlighted in a green rectangle) in in the rear lights of the G20? Maybe a fog lamp? It seems to be functional.

I think the section you've highlighted is the reverse light, the lens for the foglight is inboard of that like it is presently on the F30.

Well, I think the reverse light is the other one. At least, it is in the right position, towards the middle.

Yeah, I say that's the foglight. Not saying you're wrong - I may be - but we can only wait and see...

Edit: In fact, the more I look at it, the more I think you're right.

It's gotta have those style flared fenders PLEASE!!!
1M type of style:love:
There’s no way it won’t have the crazy flared fenders the standard 3er looks

In the picture above, the brake light is the one found on the outer side touching the DRL. The light unit placed closer to the center has both the reverse light and rear fog light built in.

Looks like a real 3er to me. BMW seems to have gotten rid of some of the flaws of the F30 and that’s fine. I like that it’s grown a few centimeters in length, the updated (apparently) interior and the new lay-out of the kidney grill.
I’d wish however a larger choice of I6 engines; a less powerfull 3 litre petrol, also available in non-M spec, would be nice.
I’m not smitten on the sportsline, looks overdone imo. A Luxury line or a M line in a dark colour I could live with.
Overall, “chapeau” BMW...

New 3-series, old story...

1. No ventilated seats (or again only in comfort seats).
2. No elecric steering column adjustment.
3. Headrest and seat extender are still non electric.
4. Climate control screen comes directly from 1987 Casio calculator (why not a screen from the X5???)
5. Chery Tigo instrument cluster.
6. You operate the whole system from o...

Post of the f'ing thread! Well done, you make the MB gang proud.

We should no longer take into account those imbecilities. The 3 Series was, is and will always be a benchmark in this segment. And it has proven it time and time again. And this argument cannot be contradicted by anyone, not even by crazy MB fanboys. It's a fact.

The 3-Series is a premium car. If you want a luxury car then the 5-Series is the car you need.

It has several creature comforts not available to the G20.

Do you honestly think that what makes a good car in the entry level luxury segment is the availability or not of ventilated seats, electric steering column and electric ball scratcher?

I thought that these cars were about comfort-handling balance, ride quality, interior ambience and brand cache.

As far as that is concerned, even an entry level 316d ticks all the boxes, as does the equivalent C.

Not for metrosexual millennials....

An electric steering column (a thing you only use one time when you get the car), is far more important. Get it straight will you!

Not sure how much it's been discussed in this thread, but this video provides some details on the weight savings of the new 3 series (at 2:30).
