A pity that there will be no M version of this 4 door version, but hey, with the 4 door looking this sporty and aggressive,
The price list for Germany is online.
The Artist said:Something that is bothering me very much is the idea behind allowing this car to be a gimmick..???
Why?
With the color coded keys, and the blue and red lines running through the interior?
Is this a desperate way of being funky and fresh?
Its very Smart, fiat 500 to me.. does not suit a premium German car..
PS
and i know its an option, but still..just the fact that they offer it.. abit.. i don't know.. unworthy..bordering on pathetic!!!
in this pricelist it says that f30 320d in germany starts from 35.350€ brutto (29.705€ netto) and here are two shorten links http://liten.be//zW7Ie http://liten.be//Im1xI where we can see f20 120d's cost between 43-48.000€ in germany, so i wonder how much will f30 cost with same packages that those f20's have, can you please enlighten me![]()
Here is higher res of world premiere in Munich yesterday, and 3er looks spectacular in this video:

Well, at that price, the F30 sits itself rather high compared to the A4 (€33.7k). The C7 A6 with a similar engine is only €3k (€38.5k) more, while the 520d is another €2k (€40.4k).
This will be down to the level of the standard equipment.
Do you really think such offers are done without any deep marketing research? Obviously there are enough customers out there with such demands for customization / exclusivity. If not wanting exclusive line, you can still get a bare car with line specific design elements, and pack it with all possible optional features. These Lines are just an optional addition. People like customization. And why not give it to them? Good marketing is all about giving people what they want - since that sells the products. Think Rolls- Royce & their Bespoke program - they can even print Mickey Mouse in your pink leather on your seats if you want that. Or get the car in color of the lavender that grows in your garden. Or make a wood trim from the tree from your backyard. Make the wishes come true - that's the best what great marketing & business can do: make the customers happy.
I don't understand the people who are not interested in specific customization option but still bitch about them & calling them stupid & redundant etc. Same applies to certain products in the offer. Who are you to judge? It's like bitching & whining why your supermarket & dairy company sells strawberry yogurt when you only like & eat cherry flavored one. Geez, half a million people buy a 3er in a year. Do you really think all think alike & all have same need & desire - identical to yours?
Many of you still think marketing is all about selling the products that engineers make. Wrong! It's more about finding out what exactly customers want, and delivering such a product if possible. That's the essence of (good) marketing. What you talk about is pure sales.

When you K-A say the side looks old, we have to think for a moment. BMW continue to design their side profiles with a single line (this F30 has teo, but quite subtle) and upwards or orizontal. MB is trying to innovate, but they draw akward lines, one upwards and the other downwards... What do you want?.
Naw, K-A you gotta prepare yourself for the 2013 S-Class. What goes around comes around.![]()
