3 Series (F30) [Official] BMW 3-Series (F30)

The sixth generation of the BMW 3 Series consists of the BMW F30 (sedan version), BMW F31 (wagon version, marketed as 'Touring') and BMW F34 (fastback version, marketed as 'Gran Turismo') compact executive cars. The F30/F31/F34 generation was produced from October 2011 to 2019 and is often collectively referred to as the F30. For the sixth generation, the coupé and convertible models were spun off to create the new BMW 4 Series nameplate.
The new Touring seem to be another great looking wagon from BMW.

Greek Romance - Greek romance is highly rated in the world
Urban Dictionary
Greek men (Greeks) are well reknowned for their romantic and special ways in the bedroom with the ladies. Greek is believed and has proven to be one of the most romantic languages in the world. A report done by the Daily Mirror in February 2007 has confirmed that Greek men are the best in the bedroom department closely followed by Russian, Serbian, Montenegrian, Italian and Spanish men.

Edit: Klier mate, you are Dutch and I am from Dutch-German descent - we are not even mentioned under romantic males!

THE BEST THING ABOUT THE BMW 3-SERIES

We live in a wondrous age of technology. Mobile phones that are also cameras and GPS units. Music systems that play wirelessly into different rooms in your house. At least three competing types of high powered hand dryer. Technology is, by and large, a good thing. But there are exceptions.

The electronic handbrake, for example. Pretty much everything bigger than a Fiesta is getting one of these devices – even the new 911 has one – and I'm starting to believe they are the sodding scourge of modern humanity.

Some of them take too long to engage or disengage. Some of them randomly ignore your request to release their grip. All of them make hill starts impossible without the aid of an additional bit of tech that briefly maintains pressure in the pipes when you come off the brake pedal. They can freeze up in cold weather, they can go haywire if the battery runs low and they typify the worst kind of needless technological showing off.

Which is why it was a pleasure this week to drive the new BMW 3-series and discover that, alongside all the Eco Pro engine mapping and Bluetooth audio, it has a deliberately low tech, old skool handbrake. No furiously jabbing at a badly positioned button, no cursing that the release switch works in an completely counter-intuitive direction, just a good old fashioned lever that operates the way you expect, in the direction you expect and that you can be certain has fully released by the time you take your hand away from it.

For the most part car technology, like all technology, is terrific. But occasionally we have to admit that some of it isn't as useful nor as convenient as it's supposed to be. And until car makers can confess as much about electronic handbrakes, your only option is to buy a BMW 3-series.

Thank you Evo!

For the history, a manually operated handbrake that works with individual drum brakes that are built into the hub of the rear disk brakes is by far the safest braking system. You have a foot operated hydraulic system, and a secondary, applied manually, that works with strings, not hydraulic fluids. Even when every electronic fails and every line leaks, you can still brake your car!
