3 Series (F30) [Official] BMW 3-Series (F30)

The sixth generation of the BMW 3 Series consists of the BMW F30 (sedan version), BMW F31 (wagon version, marketed as 'Touring') and BMW F34 (fastback version, marketed as 'Gran Turismo') compact executive cars. The F30/F31/F34 generation was produced from October 2011 to 2019 and is often collectively referred to as the F30. For the sixth generation, the coupé and convertible models were spun off to create the new BMW 4 Series nameplate.
Yes! I called them both!

The wheels aren't that wide, when you pay attention, it's all in how much the spacers push the wheels out. The driver needs a camber kit big time.

The F30 comes with 255's all around, I believe. My 328 had 245's all around so they are fatter.

No they don't. None of the 3 Series wheels are 255 "all around". A handful of the wheel options are 255 at the rear, but they're certainly not 255 at the front.

With regards the 18" Sport Line wheels in the photograph. They're actually 225 all around.

Hmm, I should go double check then. Thanks for the correction.

Now I'm going to make The Artist happy. F30 M Performance Brakes Detailed. Coming in Red, Orange, Yellow.

The M Performance brakes are manufactured by Brembo, and calipers are available in three colors: Yellow, Orange, and Red. Front calipers are fixed 4-piston units while rear calipers are fixed 2-piston units. The rotors are drilled and slotted and measure 370x30 mm at the front and 345x25 mm at the rear. Thus it comes as no surprise that minimum wheel size required will be 18 inches. The M Performance Brakes are said to be available from July 2012 on as dealer installed parts.

Has anyone heard the rumor that the 335i M/Sport is getting 335hp instead of the 306hp of the rest of the range?

I was told be the dealer this was not true but this figure keeps popping up.

What I know is that the N55 is offered in the outputs:
306 PS for 35i
320 PS for 40i
326 PS for M Performance kit, though I am not sure it is available anymore

335 PS is likely the be the power output of the M135i is that number is right. In this case I'd expect there'll be an M335i, X3 M35i, Z4 M35i all with the 335 PS N55 version and the N54 gets buried. M2 would get a 4 cylinder.

Only time will tell. M135i should be revealed at the M festival if not at the Leipzig Show.

You beaut you! This is epic!
And the brake calipers matches this beautiful blue perfectly.

The M pack looks great! Are there any pics of the M pack in another color?

Not any that I could find, except in Estoril Blue II Metallic.

These exterior colors are available for the M Sport Package:

Estoril Blue II Metallic (exclusive to M Sport)
Black Sapphire Metallic
Melbourne Red Metallic
Glacier Silver Metallic
Mineral Grey Metallic
Alpine White

M Sport comes with a choice of two wheels - the 400M 18" split spoke wheels come standard and the 403M 19" bicolor wheel are optional. Both wheels run 225 tires front and 255 tires rear.

I really want to see it in Alpine white. I'll probably have to wait till this fall when the M packs finally arrive.

A brand new BMW 335i (F30) equipped with BMW Performance parts has been unveiled as a race car for the first time in South Africa.

BMW South Africa in conjunction with ADF Motorsport will compete for the first time in the local production car championship, the Wesbank Super Series race meeting, at Killarney in Cape Town on 31 March 2012 and then at the 2012 Nurburgring 24-hour race later this year.
Weighing just over 1,360 kg (2,998 lbs) the BMW 335i race car maintains the same 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine with the standard internal parts. However, all modifications, which include various BMW M Performance parts, feature a new engine management system, exhaust system and turbocharger alterations according to race regulations.
More specifically, a MoTeC engine control unit is used making the 335i the first in the world to run direct injection on a production based race car. Also, the turbo system has been dialed to run lower boost (maximum 0.7 bar) and a 40mm restrictor on the turbo inlet. Despite this restriction, the engine still produces more than 408 HP (300 kW / 402 bhp) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque compared to the standard specs of 306 PS (225 kW / 302 hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft).

Other racing enhancements include 370mm M-performance front disk brakes, 18 inch BBS wheels, Akrapovic exhaust system and a GPS data logging system.
ADF Motorsport built the 335i race car in just over six weeks at a cost of R2-million ($260,000).
