1 Series [Official] BMW 1 Series (F20/21) LCI

The BMW 1 Series is a range of subcompact executive cars (C-segment) manufactured by BMW since 2004. Positioned as the entry-level model in BMW range of products, the first generation was produced in hatchback, coupé and convertible body styles.
I think the rear lights are the bigger improvement, probably because I like the lights on the 2 series, prefer them to this LCI actually. The square block of lights they had before were very awkward, these rear lights work to slim the rear. Really looking forward to the crazy soul who makes an M2 hatchback out of this thing! Pity you can't get this stateside.

There's something about the personality of the front that reminds me of the E39 M5.

This things look awesome!

I am so happy to see these changes on this car, BMW has finally made an attractive 1 series that truly fits in with the looks of it's other models. The back lights are a massive change compared to the pre-facelift version and do look much better in line with the other BMW models, the pre-FL just looked odd both front and back like it was designed by different design teams compared to the other BMW range cars.

This is a car I would seriously want to buy, it looks so nice and sporty and sleek.

So Scott27, is the M135i xDrive still going to avoid the UK?

Anymore more hints at a true M version?

The difference between the pre-LCI and the LCI is like night and day. Good job BMW. The 1er finally looks great!

I am in love !

I love the 3 door, 5 door, the front, the back and the wheels !

BMW should GOLF this thing. Keep it the same for years with minimal changes only.

My dear Sayyaaf, I can only agree with you. IRL and in comparison (parking lot) even the pre-LCI 1er have such beautiful lines vs the competition. And the 2er is an absolute star! Wel done BMW! And @SCOTT27 you were correct, most of us loves the 1er design or at least most not only got used to it but like it.(y)

This is from the BMW UK website

The three-cylinder 118i (launching in July 2015) provides class-leading figures for its levels of economy (57.6mpg) and emissions (114g/km), making it perfect for drivers looking to reduce their tax and emissions. Plus, with 136hp, its performance of 0-62mph in 8.6 seconds puts it out in front on the road as well as on paper.

Does that mean the facelift 118i (formerly 116i) is launching with the current 4 cylinder and then changing after a few months?

As expected I'm not disappointed. BMW made a really great job with this facelift and made a very good looking car (IMO) to a still better looking car. But we know this from earlier facelifts. :)

The facelift is almost as extensive as the e90 LCI not more, there was no way that BMW could have made this car uglier than it was, huge improvement. This is definitely the hatch to have before they all are FWD,cant wait to see it in person.

The 120d M sport would be my pick of the bunch ,unbelievable that it has the same torque as a E9x M3.

Much better. Brings it line with the rest of the lineup. the rear is a huge improvement. Kudos to BMW. That took a good amount of money to do, but seems like they thought it was necessary.

Man this is hot! can't believe they pulled this one off, i'm sure it's going to give the 1er a huge boost in sales! just how many people were happy with the pre LCI already, vs this.
The rear end takes a bit of getting used to imo, it changed the whole character of the car, and this is the first BMW hatch with lights extended onto the trunk but i think this is how it should be.
I guess they were forced by the A class to up the looks of the 1er. Now imo this puts the A class behind again, even in terms of the eye-catching factor.
