Mulsanne [Official] Bentley Mulsanne

The Bentley is pure ugly. Not near as stately or as in your face as a Phantom nor as sleek as the Ghost.

:t-banghea UGLY!....Luckely there is still the Continetal GT, now that's a Bently!

It's great how different tastes are… :eusa_danc:eusa_danc

the Bentley is overstyled, particulary the front and the rear, do I see a touch of RR ? Sorry Folks, this car aint working.

Damn, that's one hella ugly car right there. In my opinion it completely lacks the stature, presence and proportion of the Phantom. Ugly DRG - what's with the squiff-eyes and ridiculous, jutting out front bumper.

Oh, and the Bentley badges on the wheels don't self-level.

Completely lacking in originality I feel... whatever it showcases or does, the Phantom has already done it.
As ree said tase differs....one this one I am with you Martin :-)

Isn't there a Chinese take on the Phantom that hase the same looking front end as this Bentley Mulsanne?....

Agree 100%... And i'm actually sad about that since i respect Bentley, maybe even more than RR...:jpshakehe

:t-cheers:

Where is that goddam interior?:D

Love it, really a stunning machine. IRL it's ll be spectacular for sure.

Now with the Phantom and that Bentley, the wealthy ones really have outstanding limos to choose!

Maybach will look even more desperate now... It's like a slow agony. Painful...

OMG - it looks stunning. Much better than expected. We'll get used to the foglights.

Having stared at the live shots by autoblog I cannot force myself into loving the exterior -- I want to, but I can. The car is not ugly and neither is it beautiful. All it has done for me so far is;

1. The Continental GT is still the ugly duckling.
2. The Brooklands is a master piece.

My query is the exaggeratedly raised bonnet which makes the car look like a hearse or London cab. And then there is too many plane surfaces on the sides of the car, the doors and rear flanks in particular -- and it's a receipt for disaster. Large sedans, especially those with round shapes tend not to age well if large surfaces are left undecorated. The Brooklands is a jewel and the Mulsanne has not succeeded in making the Brooklands look dated.

Just look at the photo below, the car is bloody flawless.

Couldn't agree with you more. The Brooklands has a complete, mature and harmonic design. I too fear that the Mulsanne won't age well.
Also it looks as it's one step below the Phantom luxury wise. Too sporty, too low, too "regular car design". Not that it's not luxurious, but not enough to be compared with the RR Phantom. And then I remember those headlights :t-banghea I can't help but comparing them with this

The interior too looks very nice, but still too plain a design to be in the same league with the RR. I mean this could easily be mistaken with a nice Jag ...

Jay Leno is really a brand-promoting w.h.ore ... From from the new XJ to Panamera and now Mulsanne.

Very "credible" promoter. :t-banghea

^good lets try not to do it in here then..;)

Sure thing.

I think this is a good move, making it a bit more youthfull.

I'm intrigued by the name choice for this model ... since the previous Mulsanne from the 80s wasn't known for anything good.

They really couldn't find a better name for a flagship? :t-hands:

Not enough trademarked historical Bentley names available for the VAG? :t-hands:

Aha but back then a Bentley was just a badge engineered Rolls-Royce ,
things have very much changed now.

It's actually better than I expected. The positioning of the front lights still looks slightly strange but otherwise it seems like a worthy successor for the Arnage. Nevertheless I still prefer the ol' Arnage.
