Mulsanne [Official] Bentley Mulsanne

I really love the fact that they brought this car out in a gold color. The more I see this Bentley the more I like it. It will be interesting to see what color it will be when it comes to frankfurt. I wonder if their will be a Mulsanne T.

A "T" model would be stunning…in Frankfurt they will show a black or silver one I could imagine. Can't wait to configurate this car just for fun… :eusa_danc

I wouldn't mind seeing a red model either. I wonder if they will go two-tone like they did with the Arnage.

I really love how the car looks in this video. It has such a powerful stance on the stage. Again who ever had the idea of showing this car in gold should get a promotion.

Perhaps this is the Guard version?

Yeah, the headlights are the only nasty detail to an otherwise very beautiful car. It just sucks that headlights are so damn important.

Well.. have you guys considered this could be the Guard version? Maybe they have a AK-47 behind those lights? ;) Bentley sure knows how to keep their clients guns hidden and thats called "Bespoke Detailing" :)

First Mulsanne sells for £304k

The first Bentley Mulsanne has been sold for $500,000 (£304,000), raising money for the Phil Hill Foundation charity.

Chassis number one was auctioned off by Gooding and Company during the Pebble Beach concours d'Elegance event where the all-new car was unveiled.

Phil Hill was Formula One World Champion in 1961 and died at the age of 81 last year. The Pebble Beach event set up the foundation in his name, and distributes scholarship money to needy applicants.

The Mulsanne goes on sale next year, with prices expected to start at around £200,000.

Interesting if true. Why?
Since Ghost price starts @ £190,000, while Phantom price starts @ £270,000.

:usa7uh:

I'm really eager to see how the Mulsanne will be positioned price wise - especially against Ghost & Phantom.

So, about £220k sounds reasonable for the new grand Bentley car.

Only interesting here is, that you'll get more car for less money…and personally, I don't care about sales number or which is the competitor of the car (and no person, who will buy the Mulsanne will care about this too)!

See you really can't even go on price. Whether Bentley Mulsanne is cheaper or not it will still compete in the Ultra-Luxury Marker.

Because by using "Price" as a standard, the Phantom isn't even worthy of competiting against Maybach -

2009 Maybach 62 $409,000 - $448,500
2008 Rolls-Royce Phantom $340,000 - $403,000
2009 Bentley Arnage $224,990 - $267,990

- Ultra-Luxury Cars - MSN Autos

The Ultra-Luxury catagory is really about luxury, exclusivity and sophistication in which the Bentley Mulsanne has covered very well.

Yes, just like in a compact class. :t-banghea

Be sure in this segment people do not mind about money - base price is not realistic anyway. Add about 50% more to get a realistic price - since almost every customer customizes his new car to his own needs & wishes. So, a few thousand pounds / dollars / euroes base price difference is not relevant here. But the base price positioning is an interesting info anyway.

True. That's all it counts in this segment. Mostly.

And FYI - just to correct you - base price for Phantom EWB, which is a direct rival to Maybach 62, starts at $450k. ;):usa7uh:

Stunning. I'm warming up tot he soft contours -- they make the car look approachable.

Please no more Phantom talk, there is already a thread for that.

Love the real life pictures. Can't wait to see this car in other colours. I've noticed there's this bar in the front that sticks out, which looks awkward.

Thanks for the pics! Love the interior, especially the wood!

Yep, it is already stunning! But just imagine deep brown leather and even darker wood with a blue or green exterior!! :eusa_pray:eusa_pray Would also love to see this in light brown (tan) and safran with olive ash wood…
