Mulsanne [Official] Bentley Mulsanne

This was unexpected; Bentley Mulliner will be building just 19 Grand Convertibles. So exclusive, Bentley opted to have private showings and no press release.

This is indeed a surprise. Thought Bentley has given up on this project a few years ago. This or the Dawn, which one will you pick?

^ I'm not liking facelift front as a convertible. It just looks like a saloon with the top chopped off. The original concept looked sportier and more subtle.

Had it been this, I'd take over the Dawn everyday of the week.

I have been waiting for this car but hoped it would look a bit more special than this. Because exterior modifications are minimal it looks like a Mulsanne with only two doors and no roof. The out-of-production Drophead Coupe is more elegant.

At over $2M euro..I don't think anyone else will want to spend this much over a Dawn or even a pre owned Phantom drop head for this.

I know that guy or prince who spent 10+ million euros to make his Series I RR Drophead the grotesque Sweeptail has one or more on order. His goal appears to be - buy only the most expensive new cars and have it publicized by the press and IG carspotters.

Wait...he is going to have another Sweeptail?

Bentley is nuts, this car isn't worth 2M dollars. NO WAY. Dawn and a Phantom please. That is the price of making just 19 of them. What a half assed effort.

The owner of the Sweeptail is Chinese, the car turned up in a remote village campground in Norway this summer, along with a One-77, a Koenigsegg, several McLarens, a couple of Ferraris and a superyacht in the fjørd.

You are 100% correct of course but I don't think Bentley is too worried about common sense. This car will find some buyers. Never underestimate the power of exclusivity and status.
When all your friends own Phantoms, Wraiths, Chirons, and Maybach convertibles, how else do you upstage them? ;)
