I hope to finally see this thing at the end of the month in New York. The engineering appears to be exquisite, but it's so damn ugly to me so far.

Just saw it in Berlin - not a fan of SUVs at all, but this one definitely looks better in real life
For me,it looks even worse in real life, the front, the shape and everything, the interior is nice though.

I finally got to see one today at the DFW auto show. It looks better in person, but I will still take the Range Rover. This thing just doesn't have the presence of Bentley's cars.

exactly my initial impressions - I feel a lot more could have been done in the design department

Bentley has delivered the first Bentayga crossovers to customers at an exclusive event at company's headquarters in Crewe, England.

Guests were invited to partake in a behind the scenes tour of the factory to "see the skill and passion involved in Bentayga’s creation" which takes more than 130 hours to produce. Visitors were also briefed by several key employees who were involved in the Bentayga’s design, craftsmanship, and engineering.

The first models to be delivered to customers were Bentayga First Editions which feature Union Jack badging and 22-inch polished wheels with black painted accents.

The special editions also have a unique interior with ‘Diamond within Diamond’ quilting, contrast stitching, and an ambient lighting system. Other highlights include illuminated sill plates, a Union Jack graphic on the dashboard, and "First Edition" embroidery on the seats.

Power is provided by a biturbo 6.0-liter W12 engine that produces 600 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system which enables the Bentayga to accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in 4.0 seconds before hitting a top speed of 187 mph.

In a statement, Bentley Sales and Marketing boss Kevin Rose said "This is an historic day for Bentley and it is a great testament to all the work which has gone in to producing Bentayga."

Remotely control your Bentley Bentayga with Apple Watch app

Drivers and passengers of the Bentley Bentayga can now control a selection of in-car systems from their Apple Watch with a new app developed by the automaker.

Available with the SUV's Bluetooth connectivity, the iOS smartwatch app allows synchronization with the vehicle's Touch Screen Remote (TSR), providing remote access to features such as on-board climate control, entertainment, heating, ventilation and massage function on the seats, while monitoring real-time info like the outside temperature, distance traveled and vehicle speed.

"The Bentayga is technologically advanced and combines this with luxury in a way only Bentley can achieve. This new Apple Watch connectivity is another example of how we are constantly innovating in order to enhance the customer experience", said the Director of Electrical and Electronics at Bentley, Dan Whittaker.

The app is available to download from the App Store and it joins a long list of accessories offered on the Bentayga, including the Mulliner Tourbillon by Breitling mechanical clock, made exclusively for the SUV. It comes in rose or white gold, with a choice of mother-of-pearl or black ebony face, decorated with 8 diamond indexes for a whopping £150,000 ($220,000), or around £10,000 ($14,650) less than the starting price of the SUV in the UK.

Mansory offers a glimpse at the carbon fiber nose and massive wheels for its tuned Bentley Bentayga.

The high-end tuners at Mansory are just now teasing their work on the Bentley Bentayga. The luxurious model is just now starting to arrive to customers, but it’s already one of the most opulent crossovers in the world. Mansory pledges to take well-appointed vehicle even further with lavish upgrades and more performance for the new machine.

Mansory’s single teaser image shows off a few of the exterior changes. The hood and grille now appear to be carbon fiber, and the CUV has massive, multi-spoke 23-inch wheels. We can’t see the interior here, but the firm promises a mix of top-quality leather, Alcantara, wood, and more carbon fiber.

The tuning company also pledges “a substantial increase in performance,” but doesn’t give away any details about how it's doing that work. However, the company needs to make the number huge to stay out of the shadow of the rumored Bentayga Speed. Where the standard model makes an impressive 600 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque from its biturbo 6.0-liter W12, the hotter version reportedly could push that figure to 650 hp. The prodigious power might allow the Speed to reach 60 miles per hour in less than 4 seconds and a top speed around 200 miles per hour. We look to seeing whether Mansory's upgrades can match or even better those alleged specs.

Interview with the exterior designer. 2 years of work and he came up with this? Watch the video from 19:35 when he was explaining the idea of the fake "B" vent on the front quarter panel. He was describing how air from the side of the car flows through that vent, only to have the interviewer pointing to him that the vent is fake and not functional, so the designer quickly cover his mistake by saying the vent is just a styling element. The Bentayga look the way it does because it is designed by an idiot.

Embarrassing. An example that people talk complete bollocks, even if they appear important or have a major role. I'm suspicious of everybody, no matter which company, and which division, whether that be engineering, marketing, sales. They all do it.

I think that designers' speeches are bollocks by definition.

What the actual f*ck does a designer know about aerodynamics, types of flow, etc, when designing a vent?

I saw my first one on the road today. I was sadly too late to make any pics, but I doubt anyone wants them anyways. The car is fugly beyond words as far as exterior goes. Holy craaaaapppppp.

Do not do it klier, you don't want a pic of that to contaminate your phone.

I too saw one on the road the other day and while its certainly not a beauty, its not as hideous as most pictures would suggest. Well, apart from the chrome around the tail lights, that's just too much to stomach.
