A3/S3/RS3 Official: Audi RS3

The Audi A3 is a small family car (C-segment) manufactured and marketed by Audi AG since September 1996. The first two generations of the Audi A3 were based on the Volkswagen Group A platform, while the third and fourth generations use the Volkswagen Group MQB platform.
Apparently, the RS3 will cost 875K DKR in Denmark, quite a bit lower than expected. 1M is rumoured to cost 1.1 mio DKR, but this is not confirmed.

RS3 has the added bonus of being available as a commercial car sans back seats, (50% tax and 25% vat vs. ~180% tax and 25% vat.for a private vehicle).

Actually before4 the M3 I believe Chris owned an RS4 Avant.

I do know that Steve Davies of Driver Republic owned or still owns an RS4 but I'm not sure Chris Harris ever owned one. I do know the Steve Sutcliffe ran a TT-RS last year though I'm unsure if it's still with them.

It's similar in the UK, though both are retailing at the same price but when you spec up the 1M you end up about 5% dearer and are still without the expense of a DCT gearbox.

Though in all honesty one would expect the 1M to be a bit dearer as it's a coupe.

Well if he didn't own it, it may well have been a magazine fleet long termer for Autocar. He certainly had it for a while because in his videos before he got or just after he got E92 M3 he talked about it a lot.

Just checked, Chris did run an RS4 back in his Autocar days. Apologizes.

No worries. I tried to find the stuff I was referring to but since it was in his Autocar days it could have been pulled. His page on their site is pretty much empty too. :(

Good to see a high quality vid. Does it look like a panoramic roof on that grey one? Or just me? It can't be spec-ed on the configurator.

rs3 review in dutch not sure what is said, but it sure looks good on the move.

In short:
No oversteer, only some understeer when braking.
Very good traction.
Lots of fun for a low price.
Suspension is not stiff enough.
S-tronic works fine.

I'm surprised to see that Sacha(the guy that is driving the rs3) likes it so much. He's a typical smoking-tyres AMG guy.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
