Q5 Official Audi Q5 Thread

Re: Official: Audi Q5

Looks like a hybred.. Soft rounded shapes in designs are all but gone now.
Not impressed with the look at all. It looks like it`s father the Q7 but the Q7 looks way better. The designers had more room to complete the body work.

Re: Official: Audi Q5

I need bigger pics from several angles to judge it but it does seem to look better than the GLK and X3.

Well it's already better looking than the x3 (no offense:D) but I think the GLK and Q5 are neck n neck:usa7uh: I love both:)

Re: Official: Audi Q5

Good looking, but very predictable. More pics are needed for real comparison to the GLK though.

Re: Official: Audi Q5

Very predictable very Audi :D

Not sure if I like it or not VAG have a habit of releasing crappy press pictures its only when real life pictures appear that the designs either make it or break it :usa7uh:

Re: Official: Audi Q5

First impression is a good one.

Definately way nice IMO then the GLK... not sure how to rate it against the X3.

I'll need more pics and/or seeing it in the flesh before making final judgement.

The tail end treatment is this cars only redeeming feature (very attractive)!

As Martinbo said in the GLK post, the Mercedes makes the Audi look like an amorphous blob! Typical, predictable Audi formula at work here.

Now wheres that side by side comparison thread?

not a bad looking suv, but its kinda boring,it doesent stirr up any emotions..
no love no hate..no nothing
thats why im afraid that it might not withstand time..
it will age badly imo..like its big brother Q7 wich to me allready looks outdated..

Re: Official: Audi Q5

IMO way better then the X3 and marginally better then the GLK. Great car :)

This is a predictably good looking Audi - but it also does nothing for me. I'm sure part of that has to do with the fact that I detest this vehicle's existence, and the other part has do to with the fact that SUVs are no longer a positive extension of any premium brand's product range. The Q7 addressed the issue 5 years too late, and that was enough.

The Q5 has no message to spread it from the pack of mid-market premium SUVs. It's just empty filler in Audi's product range. If this was 2003 it would be a different story - but this is a jaded age we're living in for 'utes and the Q5 brings nothing exciting to the table with it's boiler-plate Audi styling.

On its own, it's quite attractive. Although I have to agree that it looks rather crummy without projectors. Not unlike BMW's - just blows the whole thing.

Looks really good, which is predictable being an Audi product. I see a lot of Cayenne in the side profile.

Looks good but a bit dull. The S-Line package will fix the problem as always.

The front looks like your average boring Audi, but the back is looking really nice I must say. Much much better than Q7.

Overall, nice car.

These head lights would have suited the car so much better, and given it a more sinister impression.

Is there not anymore official pics??? And yeah those light would have suited the car better:D^

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
