Great job, Audi! That's what I call a great respond!
The S8 is amazing... but the only problem is that I'm not ready to wait until 2015 for it :(

EDIT: I should check all the pictures before posting next time! Awwwwwwwww... it's so good!

You're joking, right? ;)

Tumbo, with the best will in the World it's very hard to tell the difference at the front between the pre-facelift A8 and the LCI A8. The only obvious difference is the Matrix headlights on the LCI version, but they're an option anyway. Show me two photos with the now standard LED headlights and there will be virtually no differences.

For those who do not want Quattro, Audi will offer the base models of the A8 in FWD as well (in certain markets). In this segment Audi is the only marque that offers FWD.

All other offerings, the S Class, the 7 series, the XJ and even the LS are RWD.

No one engineers a FWD car like Audi.

The headlights remind me of the pre facelift a5/s5, the direction audi should take. And they made it right.

A summary of the engine changes. Looking forward to hearing the revised 4.2 TDI and whether it's the same unit as the porsche cayenne S diesel (more than likely I'd say) and if they use those sound actuators (which the cayenne doesn't) to get a better sound.

I get your point Betty.
But it's not only the lights. It's changes in the hood design, the grille and the bumper. Together with the new headlights, they make quite a difference. I reacted on the words "I can't see any difference", which was just nonsense.

I like the new front, especially S8. A8 still looks little ffy. But that slab like rear quarter panel is still very odd.

The changes made to the face lift version do result in noticeable improvements but in the end the A8 just doesn't stand out enough.

Anyone remarked on the fact that Audi have not released a single official photograph of the facelifted A8/S8 in dead-on side view - arguably the car's worst (and unresolvable) angle?

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
