I can't believe it but the interior interior looks identical to the Q8 but there are differences in the row of buttons at the chin of the bottom display and some buttons around the gear selector are black instead of aluminium.

If the Q7 does get an entirely new interior it will be the biggest interior update for a facelift model ever.

For Audi, Holden and Ford in Australia changed the interior from face lift to face lift, it was nuts, you'd buy a new car and in 2 years it would look entirely different to the current on sale car.

Yes that huge face makes the Q7 too American-looking. This is probably a sign the Q5 will get the new facia too come around facelift.
But that oversized grille on all Audi's is becoming too pastiche now that I hope the design time are looking at a new direction.

What are they going to do to the interior? It’s a generation behind now.

Audi haven’t updated the interior of the A4 and I doubt they redesign the centre console of the Q7. Although the center console screen is small and dated, the Q7 still has a cutting edge digital dashboard.

As far as I know, the Q7 facelift will receive the full Q8 interior treatment ... well, I'm not sure about the vents and stuff. But there will be screens all-around.

Current model vs Autobild Rendering

From what I notice, the obvious differences are that the driver assistance sensors are moved from the lower side intakes to the grille. That makes sense given that all the most recent models (Q8, A6/A7, and A8) have the sensors integrated in the same way. The LED lighting within the headlamp assemblies are easier on the eyes because they are more simplistic and less busy. Also an improvement in my opinion. The major difference and the most positive change that I see is that the grille is smaller because the aluminum outer edges have been cut down and replaced with the body of the car. In my opinion that gives it a more sporty appearance and makes it look more handsome.
Overall it looks cleaner and more cohesive..

Audi wasn't prepared to give an inch to Mercedes or BMW in this lucrative segment. As expected, a big visual improvement internally, some improvements externally, but I'm not yet sold on the headlights.

What a brilliant facelift.
The top photo illustrates how they have literarily shoe horned the Q8 dashboard into the cabin. It's not a 100% perfect fit but it's damn clever and brings the car up to date with rivals.

Looks better and the interior is tops in the segment. Whoever said that Audi wasn't going to give an inch in this segment was right. The RS5 wheels even look good on it. Now where is the petrol SQ7?

There are so many new cars on the market in all segments today. We live a greater than great time if you're buying a new vehicle, especially a luxury one.
