Actually once they are put back to back I think it is an improvement and with the Allroad looking the best of the bunch.

After sleeping on it, it looks better than what I previously thought. Here's Audi's pictures. The new interior details look great as well.

WHY put the exact front as on the A5??
It's like BMW did with the 3er. Let's put the 5er back on there, cause we have zero imagination.

Do you remember the B6 to B7 facelift? Now THAT'S what I called a facelift. I was hoping for so much more here.

But... I do have extremely high hopes for the RS4. If they screw that up, Im changing side to MB.

True, good thing they got rid of of the christmas lighting, but I am no fan of the external shape of the new headlight. I hate this new trend towards huge empty spaces between the grill and the headlights, makes the car look like it suffers from down's syndrome. A5 face lift has it, BMW 1er has it and now A4. I am glad 3er went the opposite direction.

Oh don't drag the A6 into this. It's really the car that has most of it's own looks.. I dont find it that similar to A4/A5 at all.

Yeah, that's a successful facelift. I think it looks much nicer and brings the A4 up to a visual level it needs to be at in order to compete with the FL W204 and F30.

We were on location at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt today for an event planned around a production milestone for Audi and namely the 10 millionth B-segment car to roll off the assembly line. The main event as planned was to focus on the production history, with a chance to view and drive examples of B-segment Audis past. We'll have more coverage of this sometime next week, but the big news that was also an unexpected surprise was a sneak peek of the new A4.

Following the presentation about the production history of the A4 and Audi 80 and 90 before that, the group of primarily German journalists was ushered by Audi board member Michael Dick to a room below the Audi Forum Ingolstadt's delivery center where a single A4 Avant S-line was on display. We didn't have much time with the car but were allowed to snap a few photos. I'm attaching all of them to this post below.

If anything, BMW did what Audi always does. You're making it sound like this is something new for Audi, lol

BTW, this looks very, very good from this angle. There's no denying it's better than the pre facelift:

I love the integrated spoiler design of the boot. Very E46 like, and still very good looking. And if anything, the back is more different from A6 than 3er is to 5er

Oh, and those real life ics are goooood! Day and night with the official pics, whoa! Very modern and fresh again imo!

This is a very good look. It might be a boring and predictable facelift but there is nothing wrong with the geometry of the front end.

Yeah, it looks good. BUT, you wish they would do something else.. Something exciting. Cause right now, I dont know how I will see if it's an A5 or A4, that is standing on the far end of the opposite side of the traffic lights.... And that is what disturbs me.
