M3/M4 [Official] 2021 BMW M3 and M4 [G80 & G82]

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

Any useful information you can share with us ?

Well, I can share that the photo Scoot posted is just lifted straight from this Polish website, and he should really credit the website if he's going to do that. He could have also posted a link to the gallery, which is very interesting actually. No idea why he didn't do that. Possibly because it would then give away the fact that he didn't take the photo? :)

As for his "review". Considering he claims to have spent a driving experience with the new M3/M4, do you not think he would have a little more to say beyond "phenomenal" and "looks epic in the metal"? I mean, anybody could have written that from their bedroom. ;)

Hi guys,

Thanks for sharing my article. Hope that translating from polish to either english or german wasn't that complicated :)

This pic Was taken by the event photographer, so it is not even mine. And there was no G83 at the display, so... you know.

Just as an addendum to this topic - I'm really really impressed by the performance of new M3/M4. It's completly different than previous generation. I understand that some people find this new "smoothness" in driving a bit disappoining. It's not that "radical" and agressive, but on the other hand it became much more useful in daily driving and also more effective on racetrack. Two years ago I did the same course on the same racetrack with old M3/M4, and there's basically no comparision between these cars. The new one is simply perfectly refined piece of german engineering. xDrive version might be interesting, but I'll stick with RWD. Unfortunately none of the cars was equipped with manual gearbox.

Cheers,

While the new M4 is more powerful than before, it struggles to put the extra power onto the road for being rear wheel drive still. G82 M4 doesn't perform much better than the F82, because of the massive weight gain of 140 kilograms.

In the Carwow test, I believe the difference in the rolling start was due to the 8 speed auto box vs DCT.

Wasn’t the same event. I used those for reference.

Yeah, and none of us would know your girlfriend because she goes to a different school.

It strikes me a bit odd that you would go to the trouble of stealing photos from a Polish website rather than post photos from the event you were actually at. But that's just me!

Instagram. The event was a customer drive.

Meanwhile someone enjoys the ride and I enjoy the very good photo and that profile

Believe it or not I was there to drive not earn clicks or likes. I am sure some did for Instagram or vacuous-book. Although you had to surrender your phone to see certain things. Unlike many I can do without a phone for a few hours and have some uninterrupted driving pleasure.

Yup...Sounds legit to me. :ROFLMAO:

This is interesting, well played Matt

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
